This study analyzes the ethical considerations in cybercrime, specifically focusing on the case study of Bank of Queensland (BOQ). It discusses the utilitarian, deontological, and social contract theories in relation to cybercrime punishment. The study also explores the need for proper alignment and governance at the national level to mitigate cyber risks. Additionally, it highlights the importance of civic virtues framework in addressing the complex community structures in cyberspace.
