This project examines the ethical implications of developing new features in an ICT project, specifically focusing on the Australian Computer Society Code of Professional Conduct. It analyzes how the project aligns with the code's core values, including public interest, quality of life enhancement, honesty, competence, professional development, and professionalism. The project also explores a real-world IT case study involving patient suicide attempts, highlighting the interplay between moral and ethical considerations in healthcare settings. By examining these issues, the project aims to demonstrate the importance of ethical decision-making in ICT development and its impact on individuals and society.
