This article explores the ethical aspects of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and focuses on the adherence of big pharmaceutical companies to ethical guidelines during clinical trials of drug testing. It discusses the case study of Pfizer in Nigeria in 1996 and reflects on the ethical treatment of respondents in human trials, particularly in nations with insufficient protection. The conclusion supports the hypothesis that big pharmaceutical companies do not strictly follow ethical guidelines during clinical trials of drug testing.
