1ETHICAL DILEMMA
Step 1: Identification of the ethical issues? What is the Ethical Question?
There are various ethical issues related to this particular case for hiring a new network
engineer. First and foremost all the candidates who fitted for the job had problems, from their
end of the organisation's end (Shapiro and Stefkovich 2016). Thus, the ethical question that
can be formulated from this is, "Which of these candidates would be the most eligible and
ethically selected for the post of a network engineer?"
Step 2: Gathering of relevant information, a) known and b) unknown
Out of all the information that has been gathered from the organization so far has been
the way that the company wants to cut down its cost as there is just one woman employee
every tens of the males.
The unknown issue or information in this case is the capability that the age of the
shortlisted woman would certainly pose for the betterment of the company.
Step 3: Identification of the affected stakeholders. Identify the concerns of each
stakeholder
The stakeholders that are mostly involved with this issue and would be the most
affected by the outcomes would be the Chief Financial Officer or the CFO, the person in
charge of the HR department in hiring the people, and the employees within the organisation
since the company is thinking about cutting down the costs (Sparks, Collins and Kearns
2016).
The outcome of this entire case would affect all the stakeholders in different way. The
chief financial officer would be able to put up with good financial idea for the entire year
after the hiring process is completed feasibly along with all the employee should be benefited
when the company would run effectively.
Step 4: List of 3 available alternatives listing the pros and cons for each
1. The local man with the most experience and fluent in both English and Arabic can
be hired as the new network engineer. Since the person is experience, he would not take up
trainings causing the company with enhanced training costs.
