What are ethics?
Business ethics is the examining of correct business policies and practices related to
competent contradictory issues that include insider trading, discrimination, corporate
social governance, bribes, fiduciary obligations and corporate social responsibility
(Crane and Matten, 2016). Hence, business ethics are important in every aspect of
business operations whether it is the individual or organisational misconduct.
What is an ethical dilemma?
It is the circumstances in which the person has to select one of the best alternatives
among the two alternatives that are unfavourable. In business when ethical dilemma
arises it is significantly noticed that it cannot be solved through the moral and ethical
way. In the existing case scenario, the dilemma for the charitable organisation
manager is whether to conduct the campaign on bowel cancer for bringing
awareness or not to conduct campaign in every 2 months as it is quite expensive.
Solve the case study dilemma
It is the known fact that charitable organisation runs their business for giving the
welfare to the society rather than focuses on earning the profits. Thus from analysing
the scenario, I have understood and suggest to the charitable manager to carry out
the campaign process in period of 2 months so as to bring awareness on the disease
of bowel cancer. The dilemma can be resolved in the ethical and trusty way by
explaining the situation to the donors or fund providers so that funds can be
arranged in the honest manner for carrying out the campaign programs (Shaw and
Barry, 2015). It will support the individuals from preventing the disease of cancer
which is also recognised as untreatable.
Good ethical standards for the society can easily support the charity organisation to
raise the funds. Moreover, many of the charity trust easily get the grants and subsidy
from the government especially in context with the awareness programs. Thus, it is
the moral dilemma that organisation can solve in ethical manner by following the
ethical fundamentals and meeting with the trust of common public. The fund

arrangement can be done in the ethical way by receiving the public loyalty and trust
relation.
Moreover, in considering the case scenario, the managers can also concentrates on
giving the clarity in fund arranging practices that also support in building trust and
meeting implementation criteria of the campaigns (Werhane, 2014). Further if the
charitable trust cannot meet the trust or fails to arrange the funds from donors due to
any reason that will directly impacts the trust revenue. Hence, transparency in
relations is to be maintained to solve the dilemma.

Market research in the given scenario is carried out to introduce the new branch of
Romanian Food Stores in Ilford.
Type, location and market segment
Romanian food stores are expertise in Romanian cuisine which is the perfect blend
of diverse dishes from various traditions that brings connection but along with that it
also manages its original character. Its category involves the huge range of soups
with sour taste characteristics. The location of the Romanian Cuisine based on
Romanian food stores must be presented centrally in the city that is convenient and
visible to every travelers and local visitors (Davis et.al. 2018). Marketer can even
choose the place in Ilford where maximum Romanian food market or stores are
presented as it would be the place where maximum Romanian food lovers already
visit.
The other thing to remember is good parking facility as well to avoid any
consequences. The market segment for the new Romanian cuisine is based on
demographic factor that includes age of the genders i.e. 15-40 years which comes in

development needed. For feedback collection also questionnaire survey is fruitful

(Heasman and Lang, 2015). For the introduction of the cuisine, marketers carry the
research already from the collected database from the primary research. It is cost
effective and quick responsive method.

their skills and professions that brings business efficiencies (Thompson, 2016).

dependent on several factors.

According to analysis of statistical data, Britain has become one of the most ethical
and diverse with less segmentation. UK government in this context carries out
various steps to encourage the immigrated citizens to get benefit from their
knowledge and skills of distinct culture. Britain regarded as multi-culture country that
collaborate diverse cultures, ethnics and minorities as well. More importance is
placed on diversity rather than indiscrimination in UK to gain the benefits of skilled
employees of different countries to earn more profits.

Equality Act 2010 and Human Protection Acts 1998 have been examined and the
employees are trained in this context as well. Absence of indiscrimination is only
possible through respective policies given in the respective laws (Manthorpe and
Moriarty, 2014). Employee had been given the right to protest against any wrongful
actions taken by employer in the workplace.

In the current scenario, Lu Yin is alleged in fraud case of credit card but enough
evidences are not presented to charge the suspect.
Provide an explanation what rights Lu Yin has under UK law
If the suspect would have determined to guilty then the same is charged under The
Fraud Act 2006 that explains about the dishonesty and fraud cases. The act defines
the fraud classes that encompass disclosing wrong information, position misuse and
fraud representation. The act is especially laid down for England, Wales and North
Ireland as these cities involved great crimes (Stephen, 2014).
Advise Lu Yin on what she should do when police interview her
It is suggested to Lu Yin to keep quiet till her solicitor comes. According to the right
given in law, she asked for the solicitor that fights and answer asked by the police in
her case. For record keeping, Lu Yin can answer the questions related to the
personal details such as family background, name and age etc. she also has right to
ask for the evidence to find suspicious in case of credit card fraud prior to
interrogation conducted on her. But asking for the evidence must be in polite manner

It is being justified that to pretend own good image it is essential to act in polite
manner in front of the police. The next advice given to Lu Yin is to stay quiet till the
solicitor arrives in interrogation process. The reason for this is that police can speak
out even bad language to make her feel that she should be guilty for her misconduct.
Thus it is good to speak that I don’t want to say a word when police interrogation
takes place. Hence, it is recommended to police that at prior to interrogation they
have the right to hire the solicitor even at free cost.
Other cases to support the recommendation
As per the recent case in UK, criminal was found to be guilty for his misconduct and
he did not have knowledge about the right to hire solicitor. At that time
documentation and recording were hold to be invalid by the court because the police
did not give any information to the suspect about the right he has with him.

In the given scenario, issues related to accountancy are faced by the KO gym which
is opened recently. For reducing the complication in making bookkeeping, she hired
the accounting manager. Several elements that include asset and liabilities are
necessary under analysis.
Assets: it is the financial resources of the gym which can be sold at its depreciated
value after completion of its life cycle. There are several elements such as fixed
machineries and equipments, weights and vests purchased from the suppliers
(MITCHELL and NØRREKLIT, 2017). It can be sold whenever Lisa feels that
business is not working although the gym has to face the loss in selling these assets.
Liabilities: It is the obligation which the owner has to pay if they have purchased
assets in installments or payments to suppliers etc.

Expenses: For the effective operation of the gym, it is necessary for the Lisa to incur
some of the regular monthly or daily expenses. These expenses include monthly
rent, salary of the trainer, regular maintenance of equipments and income tax
expenses as well (Biddle et.al. 2016).
Gains: it is the profit that are required to be earned by the gym so that effective
liabilities and expenses can be paid off and the balance can be taken as personal
incomes of the owners in case Lisa. She earned income through gym fees, sale of
medicated products such as proteins etc, distill water and highly brand gym vests.
Suggestions and Causes for her cash flow issues
In the current case study, main recommendations for management of cash flows are:
 Offering high credit period to the customer, in this case credit period should
be reduced so that risk of bad debts can be reduced and customers will also
be motivated by this.
 Limited stock must be maintained only on demand from the clients so that
spare space can be left. With this unnecessary fund blockage will be reduced
and in spare space boxing equipments can be kept to generate the income by
selling them (Sorrentino and Smarra, 2015).
 Theft can be reduced only when installation of camera’s are done especially
in the weight rooms.
 Online payment of rent should be done every month to the place owner rather
than quarterly. This will reduce the heavy obligation of rent in three months.
Further cash flow will also be easily managed.
