Introduction
There are several theories have been given which could be used by persons to makej
judgement practice. In this report, case study analysis of the particular case of acts of the
owners of the transport industry and the causes arise to employees have been done.
What is going on?
This report reveals the case of driverless trucks as job killers on the road and how
technologies will impact their job performance in the near future. There are several theories
such as utilitarianism theory, virtue theory, deontology theory and contract theory which will
be used to make effective judgment in the particular situation.
What are the facts?
Each and every act of the human is based on the pleasure of the motivation arise from
the acts. In the given case, it is observed that the artificial robots are going to replace the
work of the humans and dominating the labour with their advance technologies.
What are the issues?
It is considered that with the advancement of the technologies, labour will soon lose
their jobs and will be replaced by the machines and technologies in all type of industry.
Who is affected?
The given case showcase that the workers reached the Australian Federal Government to
find out the way which could save their jobs at the time when the advance technologies and
machines will dominate the industry (Mill, 2016). The Australian Federal government needs
to make proper judgement on the basis of Utilitarianism theory which will assist it to analyse
the pleasure of motivation arise from the implemented actions and the reason of undertaking
the strategic program (Argenziano & Gilboa, 2015).

Ethics Analysis
Utilitarianism theory
The Utilitarianism theory states the utility of the particular acts on the basis of the
situation and circumstances. This theory showcase the benefits arise to society and
organization on the basis of particular action and cases of human being. (Ma, & Safra, 2016).
The theory of utilitarianism has reflected that the acts of the people is highly based on
the pleasure of motivation arise from the implemented work program.
Deontology Theory
The deontology theory focuses on the ethical and moral issues of the particular
activities. This theory shows that each and every person should act on the basis of analysing
the morality and ethical program of the undertaken work. The pleasure of motivation arises
from the implemented assists in formulating the judgements and case programs for the
sustainability of the society and economic condition at large. In this case, impact of the
advancement of the technologies in the transport industry on the employees has been
analysed (McMahon, 2017).
Virtue theory
The virtue theory focuses on the inner strength and core power of the person. Each
and every person has their own power and associated with the different intents and
characteristics (Dowding, 2016). The Virtue theory reflects the core intents, habits, thinking,
work structure, perception and mind- set of others. In this case, the acts of the transport
owners have been analysed and the impact of their decisions on the employees have also
been evaluated. In relation to transport industry, the core intents, habits, thinking, work
structure, perception and mind- set of employees and owners of the transport company have
been analysed. The virtue theory will help in making the judgement in the particular situation
(Solum, et al. 2017). For instance, if company uses the advance technologies then it will
surely increase the overall output of the business but at the same time, it will negatively
impact the busienss employment rate of the transport industry (Mill, 2016).

Contract theory
This contract theory reflects the positive rules and regulations which would be
applicable on the particular work program. It is observed that people living in the society
should be abiding by the rules and regulations which would assist them to render equal
benefits to society. Each and every person would act in the best interest of the society as per
the implied contract theory. There are several rules, regulations, standard, norms and
regulations which must be undertaken by the people before taking action. However,
punishments and penalties have also been set for the people who break these rules. It is
analysed that no person will break the rules otherwise they will have to face high penalties
(Koszegi, 2014).
Ethical issue
Employees will face economical issue if the transport industry goes for driverless transport.
Therefore, in this case, deontology theory could be used to analyse the ethical and moral
impact of the implementation of the advance technologies in the busienss (Resnik, 2018).
The acts of industry are good but ethically it will give negative impact on the people living in
the society. It is analysed that as per the deontology theory, government and Federal
authority should make the proper rules and regulations to promote the work program to make
the positive improvement for the benefits of the people at large (Jonsson, & Voorneveld,
2018).
Ethical implication
In the given case, the Uber is formulating the independent contract with the employees in
which he will not offer other benefits such as annual leave, maternity leave, sick leave,
minimum pay, and other protections to its employees. This will surely reduce the overall cost
of its services and eventually result to cheap price for the clients. Eventually, it will render
good benefits to people but in context with the employees it will harm their benefits (Garcia-
Zamor, 2018).

What can be done about it?
Therefore, before making judgement on the particular situation, they will have to analyse
whether the undertaken decisions will negatively impact others or not. The benefits and loss
should be assessed by government by using the virtue theory (Geurs, Patuelli, & Dentinho,
2016). If transport industry wants to adopt advance technologies then they will also have to
offer good job position for employees to make proper job program for their existing
employees on the basis of ethical and moral support for them.
What options are there?
These ethical theories will assist in making judgement on the basis of its ethical and moral
facts. If the judgement taken renders more negative impact than its benefits then the
undertaken judgement should be revised or reviewed. The Federal government could use this
theory to make the positive judgment to increase the effectiveness of the judgement program
(Kaufman, 2016).
Which option is best – and why?
It is evaluated that the best option to evaluate the judgement practice would be use of
different ethical theories.
These ethical practice will assist in evaluating all the positive and negative impact of these
the judgement practice for the betterment of the society.

Conclusion
In this case, all the four theories have been used to analyse the case. It is observed
that the judgement of the particular case should be taken after using these theories. These
different theories assist in evaluating the case from the different point of view which will
assist in developing an effective decision in the particular situation. Now in the end, it could
be inferred that every person has equal right and they should not use their right against others
for their loss. The owner of the transport business should take proper decisions for the
benefits of the society at large.
