affected due to the ethical dilemma of the social media platforms such as the selection of
advertising strategy for the service which are provided by the healthcare organization,
management of the confidentiality of the information, and maintaining the integrity of the
healthcare products which are sold using the social media platforms (Hunter et al. 2018).
Issues like spamming, and misrepresentation of the data can an adverse impact on both the
business reputation of the healthcare industries as well as for the patients who are using social
media. Thus, it can be said that the business reputation of a commercial healthcare
organization and morale of the users of social media platforms can get affected due to the
ethical issues in social media research.
Question 2: Evaluate changes could have been done to prevent this ethical dilemma.
There are diverse categories of ways by which the ethical dilemma associated with the
use of social media platforms in healthcare industries such as the followings:
1: Identification of the issue: It is the primary step of the prevention of ethical issue
in the healthcare industries. The moral imperatives associated with the dilemma along with
the acceptance level has to be set in this step. The actions required to solve the dilemma also
needs to be understood.
