This assessment evaluates the knowledge and performance of students in meeting consumer protection standards and dealing with ethical breaches and challenges in real estate through a case study assessment. The case study is based on Hinton & Ors v Commissioner for Fair Trading – NSW Caselaw. Students are required to identify breaches, summarize unethical practices, and outline consumer protection requirements and risks of unethical practice in real estate. The assessment is part of the BSB30120 - Certificate III in Business qualification.
