Abstract
Due care is a process to implement security policies effectively in order to
perform mitigation processes in the business communities. Due diligence is
able to evaluate the developed decisions and security processes and helps
to make sure the policies are applied correctly. Both are important for
companies while implementing effective security strategies for addressing
ethical and legal concerns. This paper focuses on information security and
ethics and reviews the importance of policies and laws in the companies.
Numerous methods are adopted including qualitative design, secondary
data gathering methods, inductive approach, descriptive content analysis
and many more. The conducted literature search shows that deterrence is
an effective technique that can be adopted for addressing and preventing
illegal activities and managing the security of data. Future research will
evaluate the ethical concerns linked to information security and conduct a
survey for obtaining fresh information and enhancing research quality.

Introduction
Information security is a major concern for companies where ethical issues
can be occurred due to a lack of privacy and security vulnerabilities. In this
modern era, the rate of cyber-crime is growing quickly that also leads to
ethical issues in the business communities and obtain sensitive data of
users. Due care is defined as the efforts developed by an ordinarily prudent
to control and manage the security problems in the companies. The
organizations should include due care in the security plans in order to
detect and handle security risks and enhance the privacy of data effectively.
A data breach is a part of illegal or ethical concern in which the hackers
obtain personal information of users and use them for illegal purposes. The
aim of the report is to determine the concept behind due care and evaluate
methods and approaches used for preventing the illegal activities in the
companies. This research will include numerous sections such as due care
and their significance in companies, the difference among due diligence and
due care, the difference among policy and law, various categories of illegal
and unethical behavior and methods for preventing illegal activity.

for the companies to protect the interests of the businesses. It is acting
responsibly that has the capability to develop effective security plans and
processes for protecting information and personal data of the users from
the criminals. The companies should make sure to exercise due care in the
business operations due to their ability to provide secured services and
approaches that can help to manage the ethical concerns and security risks
effectively.
