the issues the organization in the various areas regarding the CSR and I would suggest some
plans to the Bovis Home Group Plc for dealing with those issues and problems.

organization to maintain sustainability as well survival in the market(Cramer,2017).

(CSR) in The Bovis Home Group Plc.
The Corporate Social Responsibilities refers to the management approach in
which an organization investigate cultural and territory concerns in their business activities and
interactions with the stakeholders(Walker and Kelly,2015). In order to maintain a scale between
economic, territory and cultural imperatives, while at the similar time focusing on the hopes of
the stakeholders and shareholders. The Bovis Home Group Plc should focus on the corporate
social responsibilities as it is very important for the organization as well the community it is
operating their business. It is important to create a distinction between the Corporate social
responsibilities, which can be a strategic and responsible business management thought , charity
or sponsorship(Leipziger,2017).
Advertising of the CSR needs motion that fit the needs and capability of the Bovis
Home Group which don't affect their economic property. CSR approach has been proven
prospering element in the processing countries to helps in meeting cultural and environmental

reducing regulatory burden
Adoption of a Responsible Management and CSR is also not so easy for a small
organization as the CSR approaches and practices requires a good budget which can be a issue
for local businesses. Major organizations can afford to allot a budget to CSR coverage, but it is
not suitable for small businesses. Furthermore, professional states that corporate social duties can
be an effort in futility(McWilliams,2014). Management control of a company has a responsibility
to maximize the organizational profit, benefits for the shareholders but the Corporate social
responsibility is completely opposite. CSR focuses on environmental sustainability, human
resources and ethics for the benefit of the community or society. Hence, most of the organization
only discusses and talk about the Corporate social responsibilities but never adopt it. This is
known as Green-washing. It shifts a management of an organization from their objective which
was earlier to earn profit to focusing on the environmental profit and benefits.
Task 2 – Ethical theories and their Importance in the Organization.
Many other accept this difficulty due to the complexions of dealing human nature
while determining a set of rules, guidance or principle to follow in the organization. The
sector of business ethical motive tries to arise with statements to deal issues and troubles
that come up within the business surrounding. The right concept lean to supply plans and
guidance that confirm an activity to be correct or incorrect when settling human struggle
In simple words, Morality is the leg of philosophy which deals with the law of morality
and well determined standards of right and wrong that prescribes the human image and
also behavior in terms of rights, compel, regulations, welfare to social group etc.
The Bovis Home Group should focus on the business ethics and corporate social
responsibility as it can bring many for the business as follows -

Attracting new customers to the company's products which can help in increasing
gross sales and earnings.
To stay employees longer in the organization, cut down labour mass and boosting
production ratio.
Pull in talented employees to work in the organization which help in reducing the
recruitment cost and also helps the organization to hire most talented and skilled
employees.
Attracting capitalist and keeping the company's stock value up. Unethical activity
may harm a company's image and make it more less catchy or attractive to the
stakeholders(Argiolas,2017).
Types of ethical theories.
Utilitarianism – This explanation assert that an action is reasoned to be wrong or right on
the basis of the impact it has the effect of those actions and it effects on the human. It
states that any act or exercise is socially right when it positively has an impact on those
who are involved and if has any negative consequences then it is ethically wrong. Hence,
functional goes by the concept that an act is considered to be socially based on a set of
concept that can carry the sterling uselessness to the majority of
human(Steenkamp,2017). Tools like price profit investigation, threat assessment are often
turn on upon useful for making decisions. The Bovis Home group can adopt this theory
of ethical business to improve the productivity of the business as choosing a ethical
action will be helpful in bringing out the correct decisions for the organization and it will
lead to the welfare of a majority of people.
Justice – This theory mention the value of acquiring antitrust attention, sameness and
having rights. Justice mention the value of rights and acquiring a clean treatment as well
sameness. This theory states that every single has the right to own a part of asset as long
as it is accepted reasonably without going against anybody's rights. When an organization
is paying tax for their property to the government which they obtained fairly, this action
is reasoned to be unfair even if the money is apportioned to public schools or fire

divisions etc. The main two principles of this theory –The first states that every single
should have same rights to a fair statistical distribution of ethnic goods or services such
as teaching or education activity, lodging and food. The second principle states that if
there is any cultural and economic injustice or difference, they should profit the member
of society who are the maximum disadvantage.
The Bovis Home group can adopt the utilitarianism theory in there business within many
conditions. For example if the organization constructed a building and it gets damaged
after few months but by using the same equipment, techniques and process they
constructed many other buildings as well which are successfully standing with customer
satisfaction. In this condition the ethical principle of utilitarianism states that is ethically
acceptable to construct any building with consequences or chances of getting some
damage. The majority of people who had a great experience and are satisfied with the
construction quality failed to adhere the risk of damage in the buildings. All constructed
building have risk of damage but the utilitarianism provides moral permission for the
construction to the Bovis Home Group. The Justice principle of ethics within the
business also states that the Bovis Home Group can avail their right and equality in the
market environment and community.
Task 3 Issues faced by the Bovis Home Group PLC.
The most important purpose of including corporate social responsibilities in the
organization is to make the corporate business movements as well as the corporate society both
property in three ways economic, cultural and environmental. Giving same importance to all the
three conceptions, But the Bovis Home Group thinks that the corporate social responsibilities are
much exterior part of their business, whereas other organization thinks that it is an digressive
issue for their enterprise because satisfying the clients and consumer is more crucial for
them(Hopkins,2016).
The Bovis Home Group faces a lot of issues in fulfilling the Corporate social
responsibilities, the construction company requires a lot of investment for practicing the social
responsibilities. The construction companies has a lot of environmental consequences while
performing their business operations for example constructing a building uses a lot of resources
and also affects the environment in the area the construction is going on. The Bovis Group fails

to protect the environment as it needs a lot efforts to do so. The use of improved technology can
help the organization to reduce the effect on the environment but due to lack of investment and
finance the company is failing to do so. The Bovis Home Group also fails to maintain the supply
change in the management. The construction process requires materials such as bricks etc which
is important for the construction process. These materials are imported or supplied by various
vendors around the country which takes a lot of time and therefore affect the supply chain and
sustainability or the company(Brammer and Pavelin2016).
Convincing the shareholders and other businesses financial judgment makers to allocate
roots to a plan or system designed to profit something other than the organizations lower line
may be the first obstruction or issue the Bovis Home Group must overcome. To practice CSR in
the organization the management within the Bovis Home Group should focus on the fact that the
customer buying decisions are influenced by the organization's behavior. Furthermore, the
corporate social responsibility programs or practices can lower the costs by reducing the waste or
resources. The major example of corporate responsibility helping to reduce waste can be
determined by McDonald. Adopting the CSR helped them a lot in reducing the use of water and
energy and also helped in reducing the waste. Many other organization faced problems in
adopting the corporate social responsibilities and the ethical business environment like lack of
finance, shifting the objectives, lack of employees and irresponsible management. But when the
organization considered the positive impact of CSR (Suliman,Khatib and Thomas,2016).
The organizations in order to overcome the issues in adopting the social responsibilities
plans various strategies which helps them to assist the corporate social responsibilities and
ethical business environment. The organization took help with various financial bodies to adopt
the social responsibilities. The organizations took strict actions to prevent the environmental
damage caused by their business operations. The organizations made strategies to maintain the
supply chain in the management or organization by the effective ways of importing various
