TASK 1a
Reflection is the best practice for learning from experiences. It provides various
types of experiences and learning from those experiences, which will help in the
future. A person can learn from various places. In addition, experiences provide
better learning that can be used in various places in personal and professional
life. I learned about the reflection and evaluation of the workshop. It was an
awesome experience for me. The Project and placement Design and
Implementation (PPDI) module are having a sister module, which is the
Evaluation and Reflection (EVRE) module. I learned about the different
techniques of reflection during this workshop and project management. In
addition, I learned about the blog writing that is helpful and beneficial for my
personal and professional development (de Andrés Martínez, 2012).
In this module, I had attended many activities that are related to reflection and
evaluation. In addition, Johari window activity is highly useful for self-awareness
for a person. Self-awareness is necessary for a person to identify different skills
in them and develop new skills based on the present skills. Johari window activity
is the way to learn about self-awareness.

This activity is based on people and their skills. In this activity, a paper is
distributed to all the participants, which is having four quadrants, as shown in
the above diagram. A specific person is assigned to each field in which the
candidate fills their personal skills based on the four criteria.
In an open area, participants input those skills that are known by others as well
as us. I learned that I have many skills in myself, which can be used in personal
development and career deployment, such as, teamwork, patience, and creative
thinking. However, I cannot say that I am perfect in those skills but it was good in
my as compared to other group members. My friends know about those skills as I
always work in teams. I also have some good skills, which I know about me, such
as analytical skills, honesty, communication skills, and punctuality.
I learned that I have those skills because of many activities. It was a self-
reflection activity, which provides details about the skills in a person. In the blind
section of the second quadrant of that paper, I mentioned those skills that are
provided by my friend, as they notice in me during the workshop modules and
activities, such as technical knowledge, design thinking, and motivation. As I
motivate my team members always to do, good works to get success in the
project. These skills are presented in me but I cannot notice them ever. In the
hidden section of this paper, I mentioned about my secret that is only known by
me. These skills are different from others and it provides a different strength to
do work efficiently, such as problem solving, listener, high level of focus, and
good analyzer. In the last section of the paper, I should mention those skills,
which are unknown to me as well as others. I had mentioned good feeling,
information, and knowledge. I learned that I discovered many skills using open
communication. I had that awesome practice and I learned about many skills in
me.
According to Zeichner & Liu (2010), Student should learn from their teachers
about the reflective practices, as teachers are a good reflective practitioner. I
learned about the basic concept of self-awareness from this activity. Reflective
practice is necessary for the development of various other skills and talent in us.
I learned that Johari window activity is good for self-assessment as well. Johari
window model is the best model for self-awareness and it provides better results
(Saxena, 2015). Reflection on something that was coming from our experiences
is helpful for decision making (Moon, 2006).
