This paper evaluates the Fifth National Mental Health Plan of the Australian Government, including the issues it addresses, the policy formulation process, the implementation planning process, the impact of the policy, and its strengths and weaknesses. The policy aims to improve mental health and wellbeing in Australia, reduce the stigma associated with mental illness, and promote recovery. The policy focuses on early prevention, digital mental health gateways, and primary health care programs and services. The policy has the potential to benefit consumers and improve the mental health system in Australia.
