An evaluation of Cutting Edge Advanced
This study evaluates the book in two aspects that are interesting and realistic aspects. The
informations about the comparative and the superlative adjectives make the students more
curious to discover the excellent facts. Like the use of the excellent facts that is ‘the biggest
animal that ever walked the planet’: it is heavier than the five elephants and taller than a giraffe’,
and the use of interesting informations like this helped the students to become more curious to
learn the things involving the interesting facts. The songs like ‘the students not only study but
also relaxes after the lesson’ all these informations help students to like more the lessons. The
way of developing the topics in each module is new, and also instead of writing the single
sentences for checking the vocabulary or the grammar of the students, this book provides the
form of exercises by involving the ample amount of funny stories and the exciting information
that makes both the teacher and student excited as well. For example: In the consolidation model
of 11 – 15, the part A consist of the funny stories for increasing the knowledge of using proper
tenses in the sentences. ‘The man 56 to take school exams for the 38th times’ tells the fun facts
like the 56-year-old man took the school exams for 38 times and it's most exciting when he
passed the examinations, his ex-wife becomes the grandmother. These stories make interesting
for students to go through the hidden informations given in them except the single sentences for
explaining the knowledge of tenses. This book is different from the other books as the as this
book contains much real life like the seven parts real life per 15 modules. This book also consist
of some dialogues that are communication situation in the daily life and that are helpful and
necessary to communicate. The language in the book seems true towards the life and the current
situation of anybody’s life.
This course book contain the exercises, which are helpful for understanding the material
but it required to be more structured. The language items that are present in the book are
beneficial but need to be to the point for understanding the concept. The exercises of any topic
are given for assuring the knowledge on that particular topic but this book contains the fairy tales
for the exercises of tenses which need to be structured and the single sentences for the better
understanding of the topic. The materials are appropriately graded but the materials gets more
difficult and requires the online assistance for the speedy process. The book requires up
gradation as there should change of the same pattern of exercises mostly involving the stories.

There are additional information provided on the teacher book consist of more activities for the
lesson procedures, extra teaching resources and answers. It is consist of ample amount of
exercises that student can independently ensure their knowledge regarding the concept. The book
need to structure the materials and those require to be presented in the clear and a presentable
manner. This book mainly focuses on the reading, the writing skills than the listening, and the
speaking skills and it improves the area of vocabulary but the grammar and the pronunciation
part need to up graded. The stories that the book consist of as the exercises are interesting for the
students as it consist of various unknown and funny facts. According to me, I think that the level
need to be high for class 12 students for which it requires up gradation. The reading texts are
interesting as it consist of the authentic unknown and the interesting facts. In the non-Western
countries, the culture are not at all affected by the facts in the book and it can culturally
acceptable in those countries. The book consist of the exercises and samples of paper for testing
the student’s knowledge. The price range of the book is quiet affordable for the student’s parent
to bare. The book consist of the vocabulary list but the grammar reference pages need to more up
dated for better understanding of the student.
The advantages that the students can have by going through the book are they can keep
and provide the record the exercises they have done and they will be doing, these grammar book
can act as a reference book when they gets stuck in understanding any concept. This book helps
to revise the concept and understand the concept even more, being the course book it provides
the security of the knowledge it is providing is authentic. The exercises the book provides helps
the student to ensure their knowledge independently. This book is advantageous for teachers as it
is consist of the clear structured program of the study, the materials are appropriately graded,
often provide test, consist of unknown and fun facts that makes student interested and provide
the wide range of the different materials. This also comes with listening materials, which is
advantageous for both the student as well as teacher.
The disadvantage for the teacher is that the teacher need to go through the book that is
constricting and no course book can match the level of the students. This also discourage the
teacher from experimenting and the teaching approaches and also shows that the teacher is
dependent on the book. The layout of the module in the book tends to be boring and predictable.
There are no disadvantage as such for the students as any book is knowledgeable for the student.

warming at 1.5 degree Celsius. The coral reefs are expected to decline by 70 to 90 percent and
also even under 1.5C, but these causes rise to more than 99% reef loss as the temperature hits
2C. This is expected that in Australia the majority of the great barrier will collapse and this will
combine with the increased ocean acidification for the higher concentrations of the carbon
dioxide, which will affect the diversity and the fish stocks. The rise of a 2C means three times of
the transformations of the earth’s terrestrial ecosystems would undergo. This can also cause the
rise of water and also the 2C rise means the extra 10cm of the average sea-level rise at the end of
the century, this affects an extra 10 people. The loss of the great barrier reefs can also be hit with
the extreme hot weather events in every part of the world and more floods and draught in some
areas. The extreme events would be far worse as the temperature increases and according to Will
Steffen the loss of the Amazon forests, the loss of ice in West Antarctic and Greenland, it is
much riskier at 2 degrees than they are at 1.5 degrees. The great barrier reefs are need to be
saved as the average temperature need to be low than 1.5C and there is a need of volunteering
with the organization that deals with the activities making the reefs more attract full for attracting
the tourist. There is a need of involving in the removal and the prevention of the marine debris
and involving in the activities for achieving the greener lifestyle like reducing the activities that
involves carbon emission. People need to discover the beauty of the reefs and this will control
the high magnifying temperature. The professor Steffen said that this could lead to adjust when
the system gets more hotter even if the emissions are brought down. The experts stated that the
use of coal need to drop from 0 to 2 percent. This is found out that from the year 2015 every
country agreed to try to minimize the global warming effect and under 2C according to the Paris
agreement and also tried to limit to just 1.5C. Though 1.5C is the global average, which is
dampened by the ocean temperatures and it does not represent the regional extreme temperature.
At the higher level of magnitude, warming over the land and 1.5 degree is not just a small
number as when the global average temperature is 1.5 degree warmer, which means that the
various regions of the world are warming at the higher magnitudes (Nick kilvert &Michael
slezak, 2018).
Answer the entire question:
1. How it is assumed that the fish stock and diversity in Australia will be affected?
2. How the great barrier reefs can be saved?

3. What does rise of 2C and 1.5C means?
4. Why the great barrier reefs are need to be saved?
5. Why the people need to discover the beauty of the reefs?
The English language is important, as it is the prime mediator for delivering and the share
of information (Crystal, 2013). It is the well-known international standard language and it is
important for those who live in the globalisation era. English is one of the increasingly used
language, and it is used in many places and the international business environment, this language
holds an important rule of making the business goes well (Valdés, 2014). The understanding of
English improves the prospects of employment in the business environment. This is important
for everyone to understand this language and gain knowledge regarding the subject at its depth
(Bloor & Bloor, 2013). This can be done by going following the Cutting Edge Advanced Student
Book; this book provides the knowledge of the grammar as well inform how to develop the
vocabulary (Richards-Tutor et al., 2016). This book also consists of the activities that involve the
fun stories than the single sentences, which gains the attraction of the students as well as the
teachers (Bailey, 2013). Most often, the students get attracted to the fun stories, and they go
through the grammar knowledge and the activities that are involved in the fun stories (Kadir &
Noor, 2015). This book also grows the vocabulary of the students, and it consists of the
exercises, which helps the student to understand whether they have understood the concepts at its
depth (Ahmadi, 2016). The comprehension passage is given in this study for the student to
understand the passage and they would be able to identify their understanding skills by the
activity, and the questions are arranged at the depth to identify the understanding skills of the
students (Brittain, 2017). The dictionary activity helps the student to identify the vocabulary and
the grammar knowledge of the student. The activities are given for the students for the self-
determination of their knowledge regarding the subject (Bridgeman, Cho & DiPietro, 2016).
