Evaluation of Microsoft System Centre in terms of management, compatibility,
complexity and security compared to other clouds.
Comparison with VMware
Microsoft System is the simplified management of the data centre experience for
heterogeneous and complex workloads. VMware is the service, which enables the user to
manage and centralize the virtual infrastructure through a specific single platform for
businesses (Solaimani, Khan and Thuraisingham, 2014). VMware has the automated
proactive management system.
Microsoft system centre compatible with Windows and web-based platforms and included
with unlimited environments of operating systems. The VMware is compatible with
Windows, Mac, Linux and Web-based platforms.
Microsoft system centre is included with the security features of Endpoint protection and
Data Protection Managers whereas VMware is included with Data backup and Data
Restoration as the security purpose.
In terms of complexity VMware is more complex system than Microsoft System Centre as
Microsoft system is the simple management system of the datacentre.
Comparison with OpenStack Private Cloud
OpenStack is the open source software to create public and private cloud, which controls the
networking resources, storage and big pools of compute. Microsoft System centre is the
datacentre that monitors the applications and empowers the businesses. Microsoft system can
manage the cloud for retrieving the cloud spend data.
