INTRODUCTION
There are various events as well as festivals that are conducted around the world all

several days and features performances by various musicians, groups as well as singers. Music
festivals are oriented towards a community (Aslam and et.al., 2017). Music festivals contribute

world. This includes live performances about instrument playing that is based on a particular
theme. The themes can vary from jazz, folk, classical music etc. and many music festivals are
repeat, annual and so on. Although there are different advantages of music festivals for the

Music festivals can be defined as an event that is primarily focused towards music that
involves different performers that perform live for an audience. These festivals are generally held
outdoors along with different activities and attractions such as food and social activities. Music
festivals help in attracting new people from across different parts of the world. This helps in the
overall development of the nation. But there can also be various negative impact of the music

because music festivals generate a large amount of waste and this can include overflowing trash
bins as they attract a large number of people from across the world (How Music Festivals are
Destroying the Earth [Opinion], 2021). Also, with millions of people attending various music
festivals each year, the energy consumption as well as emissions from these festivals is one of
the serious factors that is often overlooked, but should be taken into consideration. It is important
to take into account the negative impacts of music festivals as these can further lead to an
increased level of negative impacts on the same. There are various negative impacts that are
caused to the environment. One of the major negative impacts that are caused due to music
festivals is the increase in the levels of carbon emissions due to the exhaust fumes of the vehicles
that are used by the people who attend the festivals (Chen and et.al., 2019). There are large
amounts of fuel that is used in the same.
