1EVENT MANAGEMENT Technical event 1: The event was mainly focused on AWRA-L model and website; detailing outputs and use. The way Bureau of Meteorology uses AWRA-L to approximate antecedent soil moisture conditions during operational flood warning for housing case. Technical event 2: The event was hosted by the NSW chapter of the Society of Fire Safety. The event was on the verification method for Brushfire protection and Brushfire planning and design. The presenter discussed about the performance requirements, verification methods and deemed-to-satisfy provisions for construction in brushfire prone areas. They also mentioned about Brushfire Planning & Design (BPAD) Accreditation Scheme. Overall, the event was very informative. This event has been immensely helpful in understanding the Risk Management and Emergency management strategies during such critical condition. With the changing climatic condition and degrading natural environment these accidents have become very common and therefore require strategic intervention. The event was aimed and catering to a large group of audience including: Architects, Designers, Mechanical Engineers, Fire Safety Engineers, Fire Protection Consultants, Building Regulation Consultants, Fire & Arson Investigators, Private Certifiers and Regulatory Authorities along with Councils and Fire Brigade Personnel. The event helped the aspirants get guidance and gain knowledge from NSW Chair Edmund Ang along with other eminent speakers.
3EVENT MANAGEMENT Non-Technical event 2: The Event was on how to make your perfect resume; they gave some tips about interviews and gave some techniques to prepare ourselves for job interview. The also gave tips on how to make the linkedln look smart and finally knowledge on how to increase your network. In the event he mentioned that in order to make linkedln profile look smart always concentrate on the details while preparing your profile. A headline and summary are key and is one of the most important portions of Linkedln Profile. Include volunteer experience, avoid using vague or generic buzzwords in your profile and regularly write post on your profile to turn up in a research. To make perfect resume they gave us the perfect format, always start with a heading statement and how to chose the resume objective statement. In a nutshell, the event gave me very useful knowledge that can help me to find the job. KYHO Workshop - Land that Job! Is a very interesting event which helps to provide smart tips to achieve one’s dream job. This event has been immensely helpful to help us understand which are the core areas that one needs to focus to become suitable for the industry and the existing job market. The workshop helped the aspirants gain expertise is varied way of making one’s resume attractive to the recruiters and most importantly highlighting on the facts what makes recruiter reject resumes. The most interesting feature of this workshop was a sound training on how the social media platforms can be a big decision maker as well as a game change for an aspirants seeking job. The workshop also partnered with varied recruiting firms and big industries who are currently hiring to understand what actually the want of the current job market is especially for the engineers.
