Introduction
Managing and planning an event requires a good deal of thought and consideration, as
there are so many details to take cognizance of if the event is to be implemented with success.
This report prepares an event management plan for a food festival that is to be held at The
Atrium and the purpose of which is to bring together students and faculty members of diverse
ethnic and religious platforms on a common platform to learn more about Australian culture by
tasting various types of cuisines. The report outlines the creative concept and design behind the
plan, key aspects of the SWOT analysis of the event, evaluation of the event, identification of the
performance measures or indicators for the event, the budget that is going to be utilized for
identifying the evaluation and the performance measures and a risk management plan for the
program.
1. Updated Event Design and Creative Rationale
As mentioned in the previous assignment, the primary purpose of organizing this event is
to host a platform that will enable international students to mingle with local students and learn
more about what Australian culture is all about while giving such students the opportunity to
make their own cultural values and characteristics known as well, and all through the medium of
food, by conducting a food festival. The Lord Mayor’s office has invited the team with the
opportunity to conduct the event and it is hoped that the food festival will be a success in getting
international students a platform to make their culinary skills known to the world by cooking
important dishes and cuisines that that are unique to their own individual cultures and letting
local Australian students purchase, taste and understand more about such foods and cultures. The
