Introduction to clinical inquiry
The topic which has been chosen for the clinical inquiry is ‘Prevention of
hospital acquired pressure ulcers and their consequence ‘.
This topic has been chosen for the clinical inquiry as the development of
pressure ulcer has become one of the important problems of the patients who
are admitted in the hospital.
The pressure ulcers are also called which are developed by the patients
because of pressure, friction or moisture on he tissues underlying the skin
(Gardiner et al, 2016).

The patients of the hospital develop pressure ulcer as they rarely
able t moe frok the beds and also the blood circulation of the
patient decreases.
Nowadays the hospitals are using several techniques to prevent
the patients from the sufferings of pressure ulcers.
The patients are regularly monitored by the nurses.
The nurse changes the position of the patients, provide the
patients with pressure reducing cushions and mattresses (Waters
et al., 2015).
