The current study focuses on the importance of hand hygiene in reducing hospital acquired infections and promoting better health outcomes. It analyzes two research articles on the factors that motivate nurses to maintain hand hygiene. The first article discusses the non-compliance to hand hygiene and the ineffectiveness of rubbing alcohol against bacterial spores. The second article explores the role of leadership and management in motivating nurses to practice better hand hygiene. The findings suggest a negative correlation between handwashing frequency and hand contamination, as well as the influence of factors like work schedule and social pressure on hand hygiene practices. The research emphasizes the need for healthcare workers to adhere to hand hygiene protocols and increase handwashing frequency. Overall, the study highlights the significance of hand hygiene in preventing infections and improving patient safety.
