media with time and advancement of technology.
This can reached a large number of people through
mass communication tools. Starting from
newspaper which used to bear the printed
advertisements of the products or services of the
business to the service of internet, the mass media
has changed the methods of communication and
grabbed the attention of more people. The new
social media platforms have given the opportunity
for business-consumer communication that has
solved many problems that business used to face
previously.

This new age when the business to consumer
communication has become mandatory, the internet has
played a vital role in the expansion and localisation of
the business (Cunningham, S., Craig & Silver, 2016).
This new channel of communication has made business
to be more approachable through social media platforms.
In reaching more customer with in a limited period of
time, business has always used mass media which
ever had the maximum customer reach. Therefore,
for the need of the business as well as development
of technology, different mode of mass media have
been introduced. Broadcasting, audio recordings,
music videos and music reproductions are till used
for business advertisements. In addition to this, the
motion pictures or films that can give a maximum
reach started to be used later for the advertisement
purposes.
Finally, towards the end of the 19th century internet
has provided the most interactive platform for the
growth of business.
The success of business largely depends upon the
advertisement. Hence whether print or digital, every
business follow advertisement to be the primary
stage of marketing. It helps the business in
expanding itself in the market of the country as well
as in the international market. Mass media develops
a brand reputation which no other method can offer
a business.

The evolution of mass media advancement and
popularity, the chief success driver of mass media is
the advancement of technology. After globalisation, the
technological growth supported the expansion of
business which replaced the traditional mass media
tool like news paper and presented broadcasting
process. The use of radio and television for
advertisement enhanced. The radio commercials were
very popular and grabbed a huge attention of the
mass. Along with the radio commercials, the outdoor
advertisements like posters, placards, signboards in the
highly populated areas started to serve as mass
communication method (Denson & Mayer, 2018).
In the later part of the 1960s, when the availability of
the television enhanced, the technology of voice over
television gave the advertisement of the business a
push for popularity. Now all of these are present but the
popularity of internet has dimmed that of the others
mentioned previously.
Social media in support of internet has changed the mode
of advertisement. Through this, the business are getting
the scope to share a second screen conversation with
consumers.
Moreover, the analysis based on real time data has been
increased with is given the business the opportunity to
understand the impact of the products or their brand
popularity.
