CHAPTER 5 CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
5.1 Introduction
The conclusion will highlight the result of all the factors affecting the performance of a
Humanitarian supply chain are political, socio-economic, internal organizational and
infrastructure factors.
5.2 Research Summary
Current study shows the humanitarian organizations of South Sudan and its functioning by
discussing the factors affecting the performance of this department. It is summarized from the
above assignment that political factors and infrastructural factors are negatively affected the
overall performance of the human logistics performance. This needs to be overcome by Sudan
country to get back their position in the global market. The economic status of Sudan is
compared with the economic status of India in order to know the differences. It was evident from
the above results that Sudan is prone to the natural disaster due to its weaker performance in
managing the human logistics of the country. The statistical results show the weaknesses of the
nation in comparison to other developing countries.
Political factors affect the performance of this department as the government meets the funding
requirement of the humanitarian logistics department. This department of Sudan receives
financial and non-financial help from its government other developed nations in the form of
donations. A factor that affects the decision of this sector consists of changes in the political
party’s structure, taxation system, changing the government of the country. The consequences of
other elements that can change the actions of this sector are competition, increasing corruption,
introduction of new law, and health and safety laws.
Employment is a major element of the socio-economic factors that affect the humanitarian
organization of South Sudan. It is considered a crucial element in enhancing the economy of the
nation as increasing ratio employment shows the efforts of the government. This humanitarian
organization gives employment to the domestic or national and international residents to join
their team. A positive change in the economic conditions of South Sudan is witnessed when a

foreign national enters in this nation as they bring their domestic currency in this country.
Foreign immigrants carry foreign currency, skills, and knowledge in another country.
Another factor used in comparing the performance of Humanitarian logistics of South Sudan is
internal organization factors. These factors are lack of recognition of this concept, un-
professionalism among the staff members, lack of technology, no institute for learning, lack of
financial and non-financial support. The positive consequences of all these are explained by the
researcher in the above thesis that this brings positive change in society.
An infrastructural situational factor highlights the weaknesses of South Sudan country in
providing amenities to its residents and especially the team members of a Humanitarian
organization. The condition of roads in Sudan is not good as this poses difficulty in traveling in
the case of an emergency. The government holds responsible for the bad infrastructural
conditions of the roads and other facilities available to them for meeting their survival.
5.3 Conclusion
The irresponsibility of the government towards its nation is considered as an important
reason behind the challenges faced by the humanitarian organization. Another factor holds
responsible for the bad conditions of Sudan is its backwardness as this country does not have
enough pool of resources. The data analysis section of this study shows the lower Gross domestic
product of the country as compared to other developing countries. This decrease in the GDP is
due to the lack of efforts made by the government.
5.4 Suggestions
It is recommended to Sudan to use artificial intelligence techniques in determining future actions
or uncertain actions to predict the occurrence of natural disasters. Artificial intelligence will
consider as an important thing in estimating future uncertainties in advance.
5.5 Future work
The future direction is identified from this research study that scholars will create innovatively
technologies to analyze the actions of future natural disasters and strengthens the safety and
defense of the country.
