The research focuses on end-of-life care in residential aged care homes, specifically examining the perspectives and experiences of staff members. The study aims to understand their views on the death of older people, both positive and negative. Qualitative data will be collected through interviews and focus group discussions, while quantitative data will be gathered through surveys. The sample includes 20 nurse assistants and 5 registered nurses for the qualitative study, and 621 nurses and 225 unskilled workers for the quantitative study. Data will be analyzed using nonparametric procedures, such as Mann-Whitney tests and Wilcoxon tests, to compare perceptions between nursing staff and non-skilled workers. Ethical considerations include maintaining confidentiality, obtaining informed consent, and adhering to ethical guidelines.
