Slide 1: Introduction
According to the definition given in the slide, corporate social responsibility includes the
organizations responsibility and commitment towards its employees, stakeholders and society at
large. Organizations exist in a society and utilize the resources available in the same and
therefore they have a responsibility to reduce its impact over the society. Therefore CSR is the
way the business processes are managed by the companies for producing a positive impact over
the society. The main aim of this study is to discuss about the role of CSR in achievement of the
overall organizational objectives.
Slide 2: What is corporate social responsibility
From this slide, some of the major elements of corporate social responsibility have been
understood. These elements include- accountability and responsibility of business towards the
society and other stakeholders and CSR activities also includes ethical practices on part of the
organization along with philanthropic activities. Therefore CSR includes integrating
environmental and social into the organizational operations. The main purposes of CSR are to
manage its relationships with the external factors including stakeholders and aligning the
economic objectives of the company with the societal and environmental objectives.
