Introduction
South Carolina is mainly an agriculture-based country in the United States with a vulnerable
population. The gross development product is around 209,859 million USD that is in 26th in
America. Public health is a major issue in this country. In this essay, the factors that have a great
effect on public health in the country are going to be discussed. The aim of this effort is to show
a way to take the necessary step so that the issue regarding the public health can be solved.
Main Body of Analysis
 Growth rate: According to the census in 2010, the population of South Carolina was
4.62 million whereas in 2019 the population has increased to 5.15 million (Dogru, &
Sirakaya, 2017). Therefore, the growth rate of the country is 1.06 per cent, which has
made the country the 24the most populous country in the world.
 Families were living below the poverty level: It has been noticed that quite a poor state
in America. Research shows that 15.4% of people with four members in their family
earned 24,860 dollars in 2017. Around 22% of children of Carolina belong from those
family that lies at the below poverty level (Berner, Vazquez, & McDougall, 2016).
Around 16.5% of women had the earning that is below the poverty level in the same year.
 Income distribution: income distribution is also not equal in the country (Berner,
Vazquez, & McDougall, 2016). Undoubtedly, all these aspects influence adversely on
public health in Carolina.

The data has shown the income disparity between the rural and urban area in South
Carolina. It shows that the average income is 12000 dollar and 27000 dollars respectively in
the Rural and urban areas in the country. Especially in the Western and Northwestern
areas, the income rate is quite low.
Conclusion
From the above analysis, it is clear that to enhance the public health in Carolina the government
need to take necessary stapes to improve the infrastructure to control the growth rate, income
inequality of the country.
