INTRODUCTION Microsoft office is an integrated software which consist various tools such as Microsoft word, Microsoft power pint, excel and access. These tools helps in different ways. Microsoft words assist is entering the test, edit and format. The power point helps to present the data in slides with various animated effects. One of the most important tool is Ms excel, it helps in performing complex calculations(Rose, Kaminsky and Meier, 2021).This report includes the data about Facebook, it is an American social media and networking service. The data is collected by using the secondary source such as internet. It encompasses data about market capitalisation, revenue and number of employees in last five years. There are various functions which are related to Ms excel, the function such as Sum, count, minimum and maximum is performed. There are various techniques of descriptive statistics such as mean and median is also calculated. MAIN BODY Discussing the research topic on the Facebook. Theresearch topic included in this report is Facebook. The main topic is impact of technology on improving the business performance. The data is regarding market capitalisation, revenue and number of employees of Facebook. The technology has a positive impact on the revenue of any enterprise. With the introduction of new technology, the enterprise are able to identify the customer attitude(Mota, Sá and Guerra, 2021).There are various tools such as search engine optimisation, digital marketing and many other techniques which eases the work of the organisation. Presentation of raw data collected from various sources Meaning of data: it is the raw facts and figures which are integrated to derive meaningful information. There are various ways of collecting data such as primary source and secondary source. These can be explained as given below: Primary source: This is the first hand data which is collected originally by the researcher. This is the most valid and accurate form of data. However, it require various efforts and it involves huge costs. Secondary source: This form of data is already available. It is cheap source of data and can be accessed easily. It also has certain disadvantages such as data available may not be recently updated and modified. It may create lack of accuracy in the data. The different data collected are: Market capitalisation: It refers to the total value of dollar of outstanding stock shares. It can be computed by outstanding number of the shares and current share price. The companies diversified their portfolio in different cap size such as large cap and mid cap. Revenue: It is defined as the total income of the enterprise. The company may experience different kinds of revenue such as low, mid and high. It can be derived when an organisation is able to sell his goods or render services to the consumers(Yoo, Cheon, Benedetto, McClelland and Anzai,2019) .
ï‚·Number of employees: In every organisation, the key assets in the organisation are its employees. Facebook data. The interpretation of data can be described as given below: ï‚·SUM: The MS-excel has various functions which helps in performing typical calculations. The function of Sum is used to add the values of the given data. This function is used by applying the = sign and then number of rows are entered for which the sum is required. The sum of the market capitalisation rate is 3097.63 and total of revenue is 371082. The total of employees is 236208. COUNT: the Count function of excel is used to find the number of observations. The total number of count for market capitalisation, revenue and number of employees are five. It is calculated by assigning = sign and write Count(Jelen, 2018). . ï‚·Maximum: The function of maximum is used to return the highest value and it has a separate function which can be used as =MAX (). In the brackets, the rows for each maximum value is required to be computed is required to be entered. The maximum value in case of market capitalisation rate is 927.58 and maximum revenue is 117929. The maximum number of employees is 717970. ï‚·Minimum: The minimum function is used to find out the lowest value from all the data. The minimum value for market capitalisation rate is 457.985. The lowest value
in case of revenue is 40653 and in case of number of employees, the minimum return value will be 25105. ï‚·Mean: it is part of the descriptive statistics which helps to find out the average value of the given data. The mean of the market capitalisation rate is 619.526 and average value for the revenue will be 74216.4. The mean value for the number of employees will be 47241.6. The mean is the tool which is helpful in further arithmetic treatment. It is also affected by the extreme values and this value may not be present in the given series(Bernadetta Paska, 2020) ï‚·Median: It is known as the mid value. It can be calculated differently in case of odd and even observations. In case of odd, the mid value from total observations will be the median which can be analysed by putting n/2 formula. On the other hand, in case of even observation, n+1/2 formula is applied. The median in case of market capitalisation is 530.563 and median value for revenue is 74216.4. The mid value for number of employees is 44942(Wicaksono, 2018) ) .
CONCLUSION From the above report, it can be concluded that Microsoft excel is an application software which eases the tasks of the researcher and reduces the efforts. There are various tools which helps in finding the sum, maximum value, minimum value and count the number of observations. The descriptive statics include mean and median which helps in finding the average and mid value of the data related to Facebook. The presentation of data in the form of charts helps in improving the visualisation of data.
