INTRODUCTION
The term debriefing is explicated as a structure which formulates and induced voluntary
discussion. The main aim of debriefing is to generate and put an unusual event into the
perspective. It results that workers generate and demonstrate clear concepts from analysing
different critical incident which is experienced while completing a project. This is also beneficial
for organisation as it helps in generating and establishing a process of recovery through
identifying and analysing incident from past learning which create issue for management. This
report is written from perspective of MYER and it is an upmarket Australian store chain that
operates business in retail industry (Blight, Leon and Lilburne, 2018). They offer a broad range
of product which men, women and children clothing and footwear. Further, this report highlights
on different policies, procedures and documents related with debriefing and crisis procedures.
Resolution methods and ways to minimise industry placement will also be included in this
report. In the last, mentor welfare of colleagues, happening of incident and reflection is included
in the upcoming report.
TASK 1
Q1) Identify y a minimum of 3 policies and procedures and documents that relate to debriefing
and crisis procedures
Retail industry performs their work at different regions and it consists of various factors
that aid management to offer or deliver a large variety of products. This determines MYER
provide a broad range of products for satisfying needs and wants of customers. But it is complex
to manage work-related stress because a large number of products sections generate a lot of
confusion. Therefore, some different policies, procedures and documents related with debriefing
are mention as follow:
Workplace well-being and supportive leadership- With conduct of research it is
identified that approximately most of the large organisation face current challenges due
to no specific implement of debriefing policy. Supportive leadership is one of the most
appropriate policy that perform their work in an effective manner for minimising the
work-stress and unusual circumstances (Brown and et. al., 2018). Moreover, MYER
implement workplace well-being policy because it helps to manage all work by
concentrating on those methods that reduce work-related stress.

Monitor stress and well-being- This is important for an organisation to measure all
factors that improve the productivity of workforce. Good health is a one of the most
important factors and this helps MYER to complete their task in proper manner. Along
with this by monitoring health of workforce management ensure that all individuals
perform their work in proper manner.
Educate and train- According to this policy. Individuals face various differences due to
diverse number of workforce that is engage in organisational functions and operations.
In the context of MYER, management acknowledge strength and weaknesses of each
member (Burn and et. al., 2021). It results the organisation consider those areas that are
appropriate for organisation.
With understand of above policy this is identified that an organisation perform their task at
different level. By considering all policy aspects, MYER improve their productivity with
understanding of past incident that generate challenges for organisation to perform their work in
an organised manner. Moreover, training and education assist team members towards achieving
decided goals in specified time period in order to make appropriate decisions.
WHS policy
The main purpose of WHS policy refers to implement and establish an appropriate
framework that aids to manage work health and safety responsibilities related with workplace.
WHS policy is committed for maintaining and providing appropriate internal environment by
minimising risk related with hazard and risk related with health. MYER implement WHS policy
to perform all task in a safe and healthy manner to increase participation of engaged workforce
in organisational activities.
Confidentiality policy
All confidential factors that exists at workplace define there are different rules exists
which is related with business etiquette. It also demonstrate about customers, workforce and
stakeholders that are engaged in respective organisation. From perspective of MYER
management ensure that person or individual information is disclosed. It ensure that all task is
managed in proper manner to manage work within decided practices to minimise impact on
individuals health. This also consider confidential policy aids to manage all task in simple
manner to delegate task and ensure it is completed in proper manner.
