Executive Summary
In this part of the work, there is a discussion of the risks that can influence the hospitality
industry. For this purpose there is a venue which has been choosen to find out the risks that
can effects its working. This work have been done in two parts in which the first part helps in
providing the details of the notion of the risk. In which there is an explanation of the critical
evaluation of the concepts of the risk. Explanation of the risk is given on the basis of
physical, non – physical, financial and human assets. These assets have an influential effects
on hospitality business and there is a need to implement the risk management process. In the
second part of the work, there is a venue which has been taken for this purpose in which there
is a demonstration of understanding the practical application of the risk management process
and conducting the assessment of the venue in which there is an evaluation of the venue with
the help of risk ranking system and the venue risk analysis (VRA) as a tool which is used to
measure the risk level at the site.
Introduction
Risk management is a crucial aspect of any industry. In the hospitality industry it is also the
as crucial as other aspects of business because in this there is a risk management of humans,
finances, non – financial, physical and non-physical aspects. For this purpose of work the
venue which have been selected is DOLTONE HOUSE of jones bay Wharf. DOLHOUSE
house Jones Bay Wharf is a venue which is situated at the restored wharf of finger on the
foreshore of Sydney Harbour’s Pyrmont. This venue have a huge range of things that can be
offered to the visitors like it have the spectacular decking area which helps in offering the
views of the bridge of harbour, darling harbour and the city skyline with the sitting capacity
of more than 600 guests and there are spaces which are available for the meetings also.
According to the details of the venue it requires huge range of risk management system and

the management of the house should be always ready to deal with any kind of risk that
occurs. In order to prevent or to minimise the effects of the risks, the management of venue
requires to find and propose the most suitable and best risk management solutions for it.
