Behaviour refers to the way wherein one acts as well as conducts oneself towards others. Group
and team behaviour are delineated to people with similar attitudes performing in same manner
that is different from the ways they normally behave when they are alone (Martin and Pear,
2019). For the project, considered entity is Siemens which is multinational automation venture
having head offices in Munich, Germany.
The report includes information about the factors that influence behaviours of individual in
group and team within the organisation.
MAIN BODY
Factors influencing group and team behaviours within Siemens
Group and team are combination of fewer people that interacts and come together for
attaining particular goals. In Siemens, there are various groups and teams that are formed by
professionals or managers so to involve members to expose new ideas, problem solving methods
and enhancing efficiency. Mentioned below are some of the factors that plays key role in
influencing behaviour of group and team in context to Siemens:
Work Culture: It is said to the belief and values of staff members which further helps them
to decide ambience of the business (Wang and Et. Al., 2018). In Siemens, group and team
members are required to feel comfortable at place of work to staying happy together with
positive. In the company, rules addition to regulations for all members are same. Moreover, all
members are encouraged for respecting to report their superiors together with follow ethical
codes that influences their behaviour to work in coordination to others for achieving efficiency.
Effective communication: In an organisation, managers require to transmit or share
information, policies or other messages effectively with group and team members to influence
their behaviour for achieving objectives of company. At the moment when tea members feel left
out then this lose their interest for carrying out tasks. In Siemens, all team and group members
are involved in decision making by superiors which let them express their ideas, views and
thought to any problems that influences their behaviours for working positively.
Relationship at work: With all entities, it is essential for staff to have friends at workplace.
In context to Siemens, team members need others to talk, discuss as well as share experiences. It
is not possible for implementing plans in isolation (Cardon, Post and Forster, 2017). When group

managers or team leader do not permit individuals to interact with peer employee then it results
in frustration, anxiety and stress which negatively influence their behaviour as they avoid
arguing or discussion with team and group members at Siemens.
CONCLUSION
From the presented information, it is concluded that behaviour plays significant role in
achieving organisational objectives. When small or large businesses, it is important for all
managers and professionals to keep team and group members influenced for carrying out
working in set criteria. Work culture, relationship at work and effective communication are some
factors which influence behaviour of team and group positively or negatively.
