Rationale of the researchChildhood obesity and excess weight are significant health issues for individual children,families and public as well. It can be considered serious implications for physical and mentalhealth of a child which must be followed on into adulthood. There are several numbers ofchildren continue to have an unhealthy and potentially dangerous weight which is concern withnational public health. Healthcare professional play an important role that positively helpsfamilies to take actions (Brauer, Gorber and Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care,2015). Working along with other professionals and public health teams also influence populationat level action. Action across the child life course is essential which impact on childhood obesityand enable to positive behaviour change in relation to eating and activity. Researcher knowledge: Researcher also possess obesity and overweight that are linked towide range of diseases such as diabetes, asthma, hypertension, cancer, heart disease, etc.Obesity is also associated with poor psychological and emotional health, poor sleep andmany children experience that are linked to their weight. Obese children are more likelyto become obese adults which create higher risk of morbidity, disability and prematuremortality (Dang and Pheng, 2015).
