3.0 PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Work from home can be defined as employee working from their home rather
than working from the office. Also called telecommuting, telework, teleworking, mobile
work, remote work and flexible workplace in which employees do no commute or
travel to a central place of work. To implement work from home, one has to have the
essentials of working from home such as a laptop, wi-fi, a proper line and a suitable or
comfortable place to work at home.
The global spread of Corona Virus 2019 Pandemic (Covid-19) means that
many people including our employees will now need to take certain action steps to
reduce the spread of the virus. Hence, it is essential to implement work from home in
order to prevent the transmission of the virus to other people in the office or public
areas.
Therefore, in order to prevent Covid-19 at the workplace, we would like to
propose an event which is a web seminar motivational talk that will be held live on
Facebook on 25 April 2020 at 10:00a.m. till 12:00p.m. The purpose of this webinar is
to raise awareness in solving the problems of working from home. Hence, this
webinar will be providing the procedures of working from home, the challenges and
how to overcome the challenges.
Firstly, we would like to highlight that everyone should take serious measure
and prevention to avoid getting infected from the Covid-19. Statistics has shown that if
Covid-19 is spread in the workplace it can cause serious impact to the business and
especially to employee’s health and well-being. If employees still go to the office to
work during the pandemic and get infected with the virus, the company will have to
bear the burden such as closing the company for 2 weeks and even have to sanitize
the workplace and office after even only one person get infected with the Covid-19.
Secondly, the purpose of this webinar is to convince all employees to work
from home is beneficial and efficient for the company. Besides that, this talk allows
management to meet the company’s goals. Without a healthy workplace, companies
could be placed in a very risky position. Next, we would also like to discuss the
budget, cost, funds of this work from home for employees to successfully implement
work from home.

The problem that the company is trying to solve is about the affects of Covid-19
at the workplace and to prevent it from infecting the employees in the workplace which
is the safety, health and primary issues regarding the prevention of the virus.
The Covid-19 pandemic and the havoc it has wreaked in terms of the huge loss
of human lives and human suffering have become a major public crisis in almost every
nation on earth, testing every nation's capacity to respond including our country
Malaysia. One key area in the fight against Covid-19 is the workplace where it is
essential to protect the workers' physical and mental health and to prevent their
exposure to the virus.
It is our role as the management team to play important roles to help the
government to protect lives and to manage health issues to ensure business continuity
and sustainability. It is essential to protect workers' physical and mental health,
prevent exposure to Covid-19, ensure access to the best treatment for workers who
become infected and support those who are quarantined.
From last week web seminar, we have discussed about the problem of affects of
Covid-19 at the workplace. We have come up with a lot of solutions to the problem
such as:
1. Work at Office with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
2. Chosen Workers Only Need to go to Office
3. Work from home
4. Reorganize the work schedule
5. Giving employees working hours by replacing with company selected
days.
After the discussion, we have decided that working from home solution is the
best possible solution to the problem. Hence, we decided to take further action by
doing this proposal because we want to prevent the transmission of the virus in the
Covid-19 we have to take precautions of the virus and prevent it from spreading
amongst us.

10.0 CONCLUSION
In line with the Movement Control Order announced by the Government on 16 March
2020 to contain the Covid-19 outbreak, offices throughout Malaysia will be closed.
During this period, we will operate fully on a work-from-home basis.
After the MCO. We recognize that we still have to continue work from home because
it is our responsibilities towards our clients and employees and will deliver our work to
the best of our abilities in these current circumstances. We will continue to monitor
any developments closely in line with the evolving situation. The wellbeing of our
employees, as well as their families, our clients, and communities around us are of
utmost priority as we navigate through these uncertain times.
Given the possibility that it is unclear how long this Covid-19 will last, we, the
management team can provide our employees help and advice such as; Establishing
adequate staffing levels, training and equipment for work from home, promoting
mental health literature through web seminar, work out non-essential and essential
activities at home, helping with income support and employment protection for those
affected. Saving lives and protecting the health and welfare of the people are central
to the way in which these professionals respond to pandemics
Last but not least, we hope everyone in the company can participate in the upcoming
web seminar. We really hope that we can continue to hold web seminar in the future
throughout working from home to bring more ongoing information regarding business
and to provide feedback between employees so that employee’s well-being will be
taken care of during work from home.
