INTRODUCTION A critical analysis is a careful evaluation and examination of any work or performance. The aim of the present study is to evaluate the topic, “The global 'fast food' market and its harmful effects on health or on society” and analyse the challenges faces by the fast food industries. A thoughtful critical analysis help in understanding the interaction of the specific elements that contribute to power and effectiveness of work and will help in decision-making by innovating several common goods in the professional community. THESIS STATEMENT Eathealthyandlivehealthyisoneoftheimportantrequirementforlonglife. Unfortunately, today's world has been adapted to a system of consumption of foods that has several effects on health. It is important to understand that what challenges the issue with the fast food industry on the health of people brings in the professional community. CRITICAL ANALYSIS The phenomenon of fast food is growing quickly and the demand for packaged food is predicted to increase as well, it raises the market rate of the fast food companies (Batty and Gee, 2019). Fast food establishments have been popping up around the world at an unprecedented rate, selling their meals and experiencing record profits. There are a range of fast food covered in 1
the global market including; Burger/Sandwich, Sea-Food, Pizza/Pasta, Chicken, etc. The famous fast food franchisee in Australia are; KFC, Domino's, Pizza Hut, Zambrero, Subway, etc. Global fast food industries such as; KFC, McDonald, Domino's, etc. are aggressively expanding and getting people hooked in the local Australian market and at the global level as well. According to a research, Australian's eats 13 billion hamburgers every year (Niebylski and et. al., 2015). Fast food market are the quickest growing segment of Australia's food market, but various issues brings many challenges in front. Fast food has a negative impact not only on the health of people, but also on the economy and on the ethics of the society. The industries have negative impact not only on the health of people, but also on the economy and on the ethics of the society. Manufacturing fast food is changing the Australian's culture for the worse as it creates a society that wants everything now and wants it fast (The Effects of Fast Food on the Body,2019). There are various issues had on the health of people; headache, depression, acne, dental distress, heart disease or stroke, high cholesterol, obesity, weight gain, etc. 2

Looking back, there has been a drastic change in the food habits people are following over the years around the globe. With the dawn of fast food revolution, burgers and pizzas have been ruling the taste buds of people at the local level and at the global level (Current Trend and Challenges in Fast Food Industry,2019). Nowadays,theissues,increasingcompetitioninthefastfoodindustryrequired innovation and change to keep the consumer base strong. The fast food like; Subway and McDonald bring change in their menu with adding healthy alternatives for the consumers. The company tries to reduce the percentage of calories, sodium and other fats (Reardon and et. al., 2019). Whereas industry like, KFC try to changing the trend with their marketing campaign. The campaign was a fake campaign stated that KFC bringing a healthy hamburger that named as “clean eating burger” a cauliflower bun, almond yogurt and ice-cube relish. This campaign help them to change the state of mind of the people and break the healthy eating by realising the importance of fast food provided by KFC. CONCLUSION From the present analysis it has been summarised that fast food industries were raising with the demand of consumers. In the current situation the industry is facing challenge due to the changing trend. Now people are demanding and moving towards the healthy alternatives. Thus, industries developed various strategies to not to lose the consumer base and the market. 5
