Summary
Financial Analysis is the process of analyzing, evaluating the business, budgets and other finance
entities to examine the financial position. It is used to analyze the stability, solvency, liquidity or
profitability of the company. These factors help the organization to operate the business
smoothly in the industry. Ratio analysis is the best source to evaluate the financial position in the
market. It is required for the company to implement the accounting standards and policies to
record the items in an appropriate way to reduce fraud and losses. The main motive to prepare
the report is to understand the concept of financial analysis which is discussed in presentation. In
this report, Woodside Petroleum Ltd. has been taken into consideration to analyze or evaluate the
financial position. Woodside Petroleum Ltd. is an Australian petroleum company that produces
the gas energy to deliver the services to consumers.
In the presentation, the financial position of the company has been discussed evaluating the
assets, liabilities, equity, income and expenses. As per the evaluation, it has been seen that the
asset amount is fluctuated which directly affects the profit of the company. Account receivable,
Inventory, plant and equipment are the assets that fluctuated from the previous year 2017.
