Critically analysing the legal, financial and regulatory environment of the health and social
care
In respect to the health and social care, there are certain factors that plays a key role in
the management pertaining to the UK environment. A detailed description is given below:
Legal environment: There are various legislation which are set by the government in
order to effectively comply with the legal requirements like the NHS and Community Care Act
1990, National Assistance Act 1948 of UK and so forth. These factors aim at ensuring that all the
legal requirements are met in regard to the health and social care.
Financial environment: Currently, the financial position of the UK is not good, it has
taken various funds from other nations and this has impacted the funding of the health and social
care (Kuluski and et.al., 2017). Therefore, the expenditure are required to be made through
proper analysis and on priority basis.
Regulatory environment: In regard to health, all the aspects are bind by the rules which
states about the rights and responsibility of the health worker, civil society and the country as a
whole. These regulations helps in formalizing the commitment to the goals which helps in
properly and effectively achieving the health and social care goals. In addition to this, there are
various rules that forms a structure which is needed to be taken care of by the health
organizations and the individuals. It states about what is to be done and what should not be done.

Effectively analysing the alternative funding sources in health and social care sector
Private Finance Initiatives (PFI)
It is the way of financing through private sector, in which the private company manages
the front end cost rather than the government. This source is mainly used in big public work
projects like the construction of hospitals, schools. Initially PFIs takes the burden of the
government and then repaid by the government in a long term which involves interest as well
(Edgar, Beck and Brennan, 2018).
Agency partnerships
The agency partnership is useful for the health and social care sector in regard to
avoiding the services being fragmented which is difficult to be accessed and is dependent on the
