Executive Summary
The fundamental objective of the report is to reflect upon the leadership journey by applying
theoretical concepts. It helped in determining current roles and responsibilities as a leader, along
with challenges. The major strengths and weaknesses have been analyzed by using the Gallup
Strengths Finder tool. The report helped in determining the feedback along with its implications
for improving leadership skills and abilities. It feedback states that leaders must overcome their

Introduction
The primary motive of the paper is to focus upon a personal leadership journey to build self-
awareness as a leader. Strong and effective leadership is significant for every leader, which helps
in enhancing performance. However, the paper will determine the findings gained from the
Gallup strengths finder test based on major strengths and weaknesses. Furthermore, it will also
present the feedback received from partners along with its implications, which help leaders in
improving their skills and abilities. Meanwhile, the feedback and experience will be linked with
a leadership theory by reflecting upon the level of self-confidence and self-awareness, which is
crucial for a leader.
Current role, responsibilities and leadership challenges in the organization
Within a reputed organization, I have been appointed as a manager where my responsibility is to
supervise, direct, and plan the operations and fiscal health of the business unit, division
department, and operating unit. The role of a manager is to perform several functions such as
forecasting, managing, recruiting, leading, and monitoring (Lee & Farh, 2019). I am responsible
for planning and maintaining the health and safety of team members, managing systems, and
procedures, along with work policies. As a result, it helped in enhancing the performance of
employees, achieving strategic objectives, and running the organization smoothly.
While working within the organization as a manager, I have to face several challenges that create
an impact on collaboration and teamwork. The leadership challenges are micro-managing, lack
of communication, absence of upward feedback, and adjusting to the role (Peters-Hawkins, Reed
& Kingsberry, 2018). As a manager, I faced a challenge in taking ownership of the role because
of which I experienced difficulty in managing the relationship with team members. Moreover, I
