INTRODUCTION
Business communication can be characterised as a management process which concentrate upon
facilitating the right set of interaction and information sharing within the parties of an
organisation so as to ensure that effective flow of information is maintained within the business
setting. The major objective of business communication is to facilitate the transfer of data,
information and ideas among the different parts of the organisation in a more defined and
effective manner (Guffey and Loewy, 2021). Business communication is a process that ensures
that the vision, mission, business policies, procedures, rules, ethics of the business enterprise are
communicated to all the sections and the stakeholders of the company. The part one of the
proposed reports highlights upon the in-depth knowledge and understanding about the
application of sustainable business approaches to the management system of business
enterprises. It also reflects the understanding about numerous approaches associated with
corporate social responsibility within micro size, medium size and corporate firms. The part two
of the report incorporates a reflective summary where in appropriate skills and knowledge
acquired by the learner is discussed in a detailed manner.
Sustainable approaches to business strategy and management operations
Sustainability can be defined as a process within the business environment which enables the
business firm to lead their operations for a longer run by facilitating their services to a social
cause or environment help. It reflects upon the plans and objectives drawn by the specific
business firms in order to alleviate the social as well as natural environment of the society.
Sustainability can be termed as a management objective of every given organisation as it allows
the same to attain a good market position and sustain and survive within the target industry for a
long period of time. In the current business environment, various multinational firms such as
marks and Spencer’s, Tesco, Tesla, Sainsbury etc. relies upon innovative and effective
sustainable approaches in order to ensure that they are able to run their business operation in a

more prominent and defined manner (Moshiri and Cardon, 2020). The performance and
profitability of the management operation also relies upon the sustainable approaches adopted by
the same within the market segment. Hence, it becomes very important and integral for business
enterprises to focus upon building competent sustainable approaches that can act as a beneficial
attribute for the successful business activities and management operations of the corporate
institutions.
Business strategies assess the business firm in achieving competitive advantage within their
concerned market environment in order to gain an additional perk or advantage within the same.
Business strategies are ought to be sustainable in nature so as to transform and integrate the
business function in a manner that the company is able to optimise upon the same in a productive
way. It can be stated that companies who follow set patterns of sustainable approaches within
their business strategies as well as management system are likely to be more successful and
profitable within their respective industry as compared to the ones who does not include the
respective factors within their business operations.
There are several social and environmental issues prevailing within the society such as
unemployment, inequality, discrimination, climate change, deforestation, air pollution, noise
pollution etc. In the digital era, where in majority of the business organisations are trying to
capitalise upon every minor and major opportunities so as to gain competitive streak over their
competitor, it has become very important for business enterprises to come up with sustainable
and creative solutions that can uplift the current structure of the society and can also benefit the
natural environment.
The systematic and organised implementation of sustainable approaches within the business
strategies and management operation can lead to higher growth and productivity of the business
institution. The reason for the same can be stated as the numerous benefits derived by sustainable
approaches within the market industry. Here are some of the key impacts generated by
sustainability integration within the management approaches of popular business firms:-
