INTRODUCTIONEvent refers to the occasion that is being organized for public or social purpose. Eventscan be sports, entertainment, political, corporate, religious etc. An event manager have to makeproper arrangements with its team so that it will help in satisfying the needs of customers (Laing,& Frost (2015).vent manager must be creative and innovative so that it will provide differentarrangements in its event.Present report will include significance of the event and motivational factors that affectvisitors during event. It also includes stakeholders and their motivational factors regarding theFood and Wine Festival. Furthermore, it will include positive and negative impact of the event.MAIN BODY1. Background of Food and Wine Festival Melbourne Food and Wine Festival is an event that will be held in March every yearsince 1993 for the purpose of promoting Melbourne and Victoria's food and wine culture. Thisevent is also helps in promoting talent and lifestyle of Melbourne. This is known for its cookingclasses and organizing large banquet lunch for its customers(Kim, (2016)its management team isresponsible for coordinating all the activities of the events and also has collaboration withVictoria's food and wine industry. This festival began in 1993 with 12 events. 19th MelbourneFood and Wine Festival in which 350000 people were present by organizing over 250 events in11 days. On first day 4500 people attended lunch that will be held across Victoria. In last days ofFestival more than 2600 people join with 100 chefs and wine taster for large cooking class. It isknown for its chef and services that is being provided to customers.2. Significance of Melbourne Food and Wine festival Melbourne Food and Wine Festival provides many services to its customers. It hasprovided proper lunch and meals for the purpose of satisfying the needs and wants. It isimportant to coordinate all the things in efficient and effective manner. Providing properinfrastructure will facilitate in building trust of customers so that they will more attractedtowards it. It is important for Food and Wine festival to do proper arrangement for regardingaccommodation by providing all the facilities related to it so it will help in enhancing growth ofbusiness Frost & Laing, (2016). Services that is being provided to customers will influencethem to come again and visit the place. This event helps in securing planning for the futurecourse of action. help in gaining more customer towards it. Venue will be decided according to the theme that isbased on customer preference. Labour will be efficient so that it will manage and coordinate allthe things during an event.3. Motivational Factors for visitorsMotivation factor of the visitors include internal and external factors such as:-Internal Factors:- These include behaviour of person that will influence the decision of anindividual regarding travelling.Intrinsic motivation:- This refers to behaviour of an employee in engaging intoactivities of the company for personal sake of it. In this tourism will help in satisfying thepsychological needs that may include travelling, creativity, competitions and belongingness etc.Other factors of motivation areAttitude of visitor: It includes positive and negative behaviour of employees, knowledge ofperson etcPearson, Simon & Thompson, (2018). This factor will affect the visitor attitudetowards Food and Wine Festival.Perception:- Different people is having different perception so that will affect motivation ofvisitor. As by seeing photos on the internet visitor is having good perception regarding servicesthat is being offered to customers.Values or beliefs:- Visitors is having their own beliefs and values that will be accepted sociallyor personally. Personality:- Nature of visitor plays an important role in motivation in tourism.External Factors:- These factors also affect decision making and motivation of visitor.Extrinsic motivation:- These factors will helps in motivating behaviour or engaging inactivity of the company.Place of origin: Visitors grooming is depended on place of origin. If the place is good then itwill provide satisfaction to visitors that they are getting best services from it.Family and age:- As nowadays structure and income will differentiate with the changingmindset as most of the people are living in nuclear family and most are in joint familyGleeson,(2017). So it will create barrier among visitors as different age of people is living and all of themis having different preference so this factor will have an impact on motivation.2
