INTRODUCTION
Food and safety is considered as a method by which it is necessary to prepare a food that
help in preventing illness related to food. It is considered as a catering sector which signifies that
institution was responsible for maintaining meal outside home. Pizza Express is considered as a
chosen restaurant in this assignment. The restaurant has approx 470 outlets at UK and it is
founded in the year of 1965. In this assignment, there are various aspects related to food supply
chain that assists in understanding the procedure of delivering facility to its user. In addition to
this, there are different analytical tools that help in improving strategy or tactics related to
business organisation (Beehner and Blackwell, 2016).

Food supply chain is considered as a procedure in which different activity are performed
for serving superior facility to its user. There are various kinds of works which must be fulfilled
by food sector that involves appropriate process of preparing food and to provide superior quality
goods as well as services to its user. The manager of Pizza Express focuses on all age group of
individual person that help in increasing sales and profit in future period of time. There are
various approaches which are adopted by restaurant that is going to be mentioned below:
Fine dining it is considered as a superior method of serving food services to its user
around the globe. It involves different types of menu of food that involve Mexican, Italian as
well as Chinese and many more. This kind of restaurant is considered as an appropriate source of
increasing profit margin at UK. It signifies different kind of services such as holding chair of
women.
Popup food services it is a type of facility which is adopted for providing food on usual
basis. These types of services are provided to its customer for satisfying their daily need related
to food. The main benefits are to open their outlets by using limited sources and also offer
employment opportunity to new chef available at Marketplace.
Conference and events food as well as services play an important role in conference for
offering superior facility to its user. Such type of events are organised by event administration
for providing superior quality facility to its user. In reference of events the supply chain assist in

maintaining record of inventory and make ensure that delivery as well as pickups are done in a
timely manner.
Theme food services are those facilities which is totally depends upon the choice of
individual person. This type of services attracts large number of user as they are completely
depending upon theme which is considered as a unique in various ways. It has been analysed that
the restaurant who are adopting theme and restaurants focus is on earning more and more profit
in future period of time.

Procurement is considered as a structure of purchasing as well as selling of goods and
services to its user (Payne-Palacio, 2016). Their role is to satisfy the need of its user for
achieving larger market base. There are various principles related to procurement that is going to
be mentioned below:
Supplier credibility check it signifies technique by which organisation create trust and
loyalty from its supplier. For improving appropriate relation with its supplier, it is significant to
possess mutual understanding on both sides. In context of Pizza Express, it is significant for
management team to investigate the past experience of supplier before recruit them for supplying
product and services at market place.
Approved supplier list for any type of business organisation, it is significant to possess
appropriate list related to supplier for providing appropriate services to its user in an appropriate
manner. In reference of Pizza Express, the management team of restaurant focuses on recruiting
superior supplier who provides qualitative material in timely way.
Value of money is considered as a facility which is provided in return of amount of
money. In context of Pizza express, their focus is on providing quality product to its customer at
Marketplace. In addition to this, they also provide value for to its customers that help in
improving goodwill at Marketplace.
After sales services and warranty It is considered as significant factor in service which
offers satisfaction level to is customer. They provide warranty to its user and also provide after
sale facility that help in attracting large number of user at Marketplace. In reference of Pizza
Express, it is important to possess appropriate services that help in resolving issues of user in an
appropriate manner.
