INTRODUCTION
The foreign exchange rate is being defined as the rate of exchange between the two currencies. In simple
terms it is referred to as the rate for which one currency will can be exchanged for another currency. For any
person to work in stay or work in another country need to have currency of that country. Thus, for this they will
exchange their currency with that of the another country currency at the exchange rate prevailing. In case the
foreign exchange rate is unstable then this will affect the living standard to a great extent. When it comes to an
international student in UK then they will have to face the impact of unstable foreign exchange rate to a great
extent. This is pertaining to the fact that when the foreign exchange rate will not be stable then expenses of
students will also not be stable and this will affect the working and expenses of the student to a great extent. The
current study will outline the impact of unstable foreign exchange rate over the standard of living of an
international student in UK.
DISCUSSION OF METHODOLOGY
Design consideration
The present study is based on the use of different research design but the major focus is on the explanatory
research design. The reason pertaining to the fact is that the research is based on analysing the impact of
unstable forex over living standard of international student in UK. Thus, the use of explanatory research will
assist in developing knowledge and increase information and data relating to the research topic. Hence, this is
very good for the researcher to apply the use of explanatory research in order to examine the impact of unstable
forex upon living standard. For this the data has been collected from 20 respondents who are living within UK.
This is particularly being selected because only the student can share that how much expense do they incur
within UK due to the unstable foreign exchange rate.
Survey design
The survey design is being referred to as the process through which a survey is being created with the aim of
ascertaining the maximum output from the survey research. this is very essential for the success of the research
as if the data is collected in proper and effective manner then only the research will be providing better insight
and output. The survey research design is defined as the procedure within the quantitative research which is
being used within the present research over analysing impact of unstable foreign exchange on living standards
of international student in UK. Under this survey design the investigator analyses or administer a survey from a
particular sample or complete population. In the present study which is based on analysing the impact of
unstable foreign exchange over the standard of living of international student in UK the use of 20 students for
the sample was selected. Under this the questions were asked to the respondent relating to the research topic.
All the questions being asked from the respondent were in form of closed ended questions and due to this a
generalised analysis can be undertaken. This is particularly because of the reason that when respondents are
having only limited options to answer then this will be providing a generalised view of the whole population.

The hypothesis is being defined as the statement which is a proposed explanation of any of the phenomenon.
The hypothesis is the statement which are made in accordance with the research aim or objective on which the
whole study is being based. The hypothesis is being treated as basis for the completion of the study. The
hypothesis for the current study on impact of foreign exchange on standard of living of international student in
UK are as follows-
H0- There is no impact of unstable foreign exchange over the standard of living of international student.
H1- There is significant impact of unstable foreign exchange over the standard of living of international student
