INTRODUCTION Human resource is a set of people that perform several tasks and help company in accomplishing their goals (Brewster and Söderström, 2017). This present study is going to show impacts of business issues on employees’ health and overall performance of the company. This study will discuss impacts which increased use of technology can have such as: It increases unemployment rate, reduces man power, increases errors and others. Further, it will discuss some positive impacts if technology is being used in an effective manner such as it makes tasks of companieseasier.Lastlyitwillshoweffectivenessandreasonofdevelopingpersonal development plan. PART 1 REPORT Impacts of adapting to new technology problem on companies In the context of digital era it can be said that there are several companies who are using advanced technology within their business for making their functions easier. There are several business issues which have negative impacts on companies’ performance. But in the context of adapting to new technology it can be said that it has both positive and negative impacts on performance and productivity of company. Nowadays companies of different sectors like retail, hospitality and others are using technology which is reducing man power. There are several negative impacts which it has such as it reduces man power so, companies do not employ workers and most of the work have been performed with new technologies. Increasing unemployment rate: Nowadays hotels are making use of room robotics and for that they do not require workers so, it increases unemployment rate. Unemployment rate is one of the main problems that affect overall economy of the country as well. People who become unemployed commit crimes because of fostering their families (Kardes, 2020). So, it can be said that this issue have negative impacts on society. Errors:It can be said that technology has make all works easier but still we cannot compare man power with works done with technologies. Technologies have been developed for making work easier but becoming completely dependent on it can have several negative impacts. It can increase errors and for maintaining machineries and technology there is requirement of investing in software development and others. It can affect quality of products and services. Due to increasing errors it can have negative impacts on the image of company and can also decrease sales. Customers are less likely to buy products from such companies who provide poor quality 1
of products to them (Bouwman, Nikou and de Reuver, 2019). So, it can be said that there is requirement for focusing on man power rather than completely dependent on it. Miscommunication:Increasing use of technology may hurt communication skills and it also distracts students and employees in their education and functions. Between works they use social media, games that distract their work. It may also increase errors and become reason of poor quality. Those companies who make use of technology for communication are more likely to experience miscommunication. Miscommunication among employees also leads to conflicts. When employees provide informations via some communication tools then there are more chances of skipping information. Face to face and traditional ways of communication have some positive impacts. Increase anxiety:When people use technologies to the great extent then it leads to stress and other health problems. Nowadays employees also spend their lot of time in performing their tasks with technologythen it may leads to several health problems like back pain, neck pain, poor eye vision due to lack of physical movement. Students also spent a lot of their time in using technology in a negative manner that leads to insomnia, eyestrain and increased depression. So, it can be said that adapting to new technologies to the great extent can have several negative impacts and it is one of the main business issue (You and et.al., 2019). Safety:Nowadays all data and informations are being kept in systems. Companies keep both personal and professional data in their computer rather keeping it in hand. There are more chances of breaching information and maintaining confidentiality is one of the main key of success. But due to making use of technology to the great extent it increases chances of breaching of information. Due to loss of personal and professional data, companies have to suffer many problems (Pagani and Pardo, 2017). So, it is one of the main concern and business issue that happens because of increasing use of technology. On the other hand, technology adaption has several positive impacts as well as it can improve overall productivity of the company if it is being used in an effective and positive manner. It makes all functions easier and can help companies in completing tasks in a timely manner. So, it can be recommended to companies and people that they should focus on manpower more than technologies as it can increase employment rate and they can also reduce errors. 2
