Information system and technology is essential for the business as it help them in
growth and development. With the concept of foundation of information system in business
includes different areas which are needed by the business professionals and on organisations.
This report includes detailed discussion about the information system concept and
technologies with the relation of contemporary business. NAB, largest bank and financial
institutions headquartered in Australia. It has many branches all over the country and is
expanding their business but focusing on information technology.

to the market trends and changes. This also gives a new rise to digital disruption through
which development of change is possible at worldwide in appropriate way. In relation with
the selected entity, they also used information system for their management and authorisation
processes (Goode, 2020).
Culture affecting Information system and use
Information system play vital role in business and commerce as it help them to
expand the business as well as explore more opportunities worldwide. Culture has a deep
impact on use of technology as well as information some because it provides a deep
knowledge and understanding of digital approaches which would be used for future
development. Technologies as well as culture both are dependent on each other and culture
reacts in both positive as well as negative way depending upon the situations. If the culture
changes technology is valid information system also developed. For example- the
telecommunication or say global communication is being changing accordance with the
culture and society (Beynon-Davies, 2020).

Digital disruption is a type of effect which is being created by the are caused by the

culture market or industrial sector. With the help of this disruption, it is easy to convince the
culture to accept and use information technology as well as system which simplify the human
work and provide them with the new ideas and thoughts.
Issues-
Cultural values- These are to be known as principles and ideals upon which and
community exist and survive. It includes traditions rituals, belief etc. Technology &
information system in Australia is rising at rapid scale but there are many other cultural
values which do not accept the new changes and act as a problem for many businesses.
Infrastructure- There are many other infrastructures issues also such as architectures
and standards, inter enterprise integration, redesign of business practices etc. Such types of
infrastructure have a deep impact on news of technology. Infrastructures are the essential part
of technology and information system because they help in in running and executing overall
processes in effective way. This also shows that NAB, has been focused what their
infrastructure but it is a time consuming and cost expensive process which require deep
market research knowledge to make the decisions regarding infrastructure in most efficient
manner (Basden, 2017).
Financial implications- Other issues which are faced by the organisation is that it is
difficult to arrange the necessary capital and cost which is required for the business
expansion. In context to NAB, they update their technologies and information system at
regular interval period of time which is costly expensive. For example banks always huge
amount of capital and funds to run their services smoothly and effectively and for which there
financial help which they find it difficult to gain from the customers (Ghawe, 2018).
To solve this issues digital disruption play a vital role as it help organisation to
implement new strategies and tactics to deal with the problems with use of technology. It is
also important for the manager to make ensure that technology is being used by everyone in
most appropriate way which helps the culture as well as individual to achieve their goals and
objectives within a period of time.
After a brief analysis of above matter it has been concluded that information system is
a broader and wider concept which is needed to be understood as well as considered by

everyone addition with proper research. Culture has a deep impact on use of technologies as
well as new changes as because they are the sources through which it is being used.
Moreover, there are many other issues which are being faced such as technologies such as
infrastructure financing implications cultural values etc. It is essential to be aware about the
impact of these problems and challenges so that decisions regarding the change and digital
directions are being made effectively (Skog, 2018).

After a brief analysis of above report it has been concluded that foundation of
information system and understanding it is essential for business to achieve the goals and
objectives. Also focus is being considered on the culture and how they affect because both
technologies as well as information system are being used by individual of the society
according to their culture they live in. Furthermore, issues which are being faced are needed
to be considered properly so that digital destruction has a positive impact on society.
Therefore, by adopting the changes it will be easier for entities to focus on information
system.
