Business is an commercial activity which is been done with the aim of generating
capital in return of offering goods and services. In an enterprises there are various
kinds of functional areas which perform the activities as per their skills and ability in
order to achieve an organizational goals (.Rafaiani, and et., al., 2021). The major aim
of conducting a business organization is to earn more and more profit by satisfying
the needs and wants of the users in an effective manner. In this report john is
giving detail information in relation of varied functional areas and their roles and
responsibilities within the business. In last it will elaborate that how all the sections are
interlinked with each other.
2.0 What is a business?
It is an activity of producing and purchasing the products and services and
them provide it in market place in return of money while balancing all the
responsibility of corporate world and social ethics (Yoshida, and Yagi, 2019).

5.0 Description of the various functional areas in business
organizations
5.1 Marketing:
This department of an organization consist of all that a company does to
determine about their users. From the business this plays a vital role because
the stability of the enterprise is wholly depends on this department. The major
function of this department is to promote the goods and services which are offered
by the organization in the market place. As well as this is responsible improving
the marketing drive in order to increase the brand value of the company and
analyzing the marketing condition and demand of consumers (Wenger, and et., al.,
2020).
5.2 Human Resource Management:
The workers of these area is being considered as the fundamental asset for
the organization. As the workers of these section is liable for managing the
operations of people with In the company and hiring and selecting the persons.
In this procedure of hiring and selecting they find skilled people with full of
education and experience. In addition to this they also responsible for giving the
training to the employees of the enterprise so that they give productive response
In operations. The employees which are selected by the HR area of the institution
reach out the project with the assistance of ability and knowledge posses by them.
All the goals and objectives which are set by the higher administration effectively
attain by the workers.
5.3 Customer Service:
This department of the enterprise is responsible for giving the both before and

as the face of the industry they are responsible for giving the assistance to their
users. If the clients of the company feel comfortable then the loyal buyers for the
organization has been raised. They are also responsible for giving an effective
services to the consumers so that these services will be remembered by users.

enterprise is being handled by the department. Producing varied sources of funds,

investment related decision are also taken by the workers of this areas. It is very
essential for the management of the industry to utilize the recent technology in
order to control the accounts of the company. If they do this they reduce the risk
and mistakes of the management. With the assistance of this concern is
capable to improve their stability in the competitive market.
5.5 Research and Development:
This section of the business is assigned for understanding and analyzing the
marketing condition so that they can convey the gathered information to sales
department and operational department. The workers of this department is
responsible for generating creativity thoughts in context to the marketing team.

departments. In regards to stand in market for long term , they have to constantly
