INTRODUCTION
Business functions represents that what kind of work conducts within the community of
business and a set of elements that can performed by the organisation departments. It is
commenced by commitment of company, transform information, materials and output
procedures(Bogoviz And et.al., 2019). This report is based on IOM Electronics Ltd.( a highly
known company with 200 workers and it is located over two areas Liverpool and Manchester).
This report is considers different organisational functions and discusses about several
proficiency of a person that is important to accomplish the task effectively in these areas.
MAIN BODY
1.) Discuss the different functional areas of organisation.
Human Resource: It is very important department for business. HR is the specialist who
tackle all the responsibility related to talent enrichment, recruiting capable candidate and
managing the relations between the employees. It includes liabilities which helps to stay update
with any sort of laws that might influence the organization and its representatives. The role of
HR in IOM Electronics is to increases accuracy within the workplace by which the workers
fulfill their task effectively and efficiently.
Marketing: It refers to the process of promotion, pricing sales and distribution. It can
provide products and services that meet with needs of customer. Marketing professional are
responsible for market research and target audience. In general, department of this function have
many divisons to focus such as SEO, web design, customer service etc. In case of company, it
helps to coordinate and delivers that product which can represent the business and achieve its
objectives with increse in market share.
Finance: This function of business is potray to control all financiql activities which
includes planning, obtaining and managing the funds of the organisation(Bugrova And et.al.
2017). In IOM ltd company finance plays a very crucial role by manging monetary transaction
and also identifies risks that organisation can bear and tried to generate revenue for the growth of
business. And it also helps the company is to make expectation in respect to what kind of risks
arise in the coming scenerio and how company can overcome with it.
Research and Development : This functions is concerned about the new ideas,
innovation and technologies for improving existing items of the company. It includes market

research, business experimentation and development of product. It helps IOM ltd. Company to
maintain its competency.It means that focus on new developing trends by which a competition
become tough also identify the needs of consumer and developing the products according their
demand. This can help in enhancing the reputaion of the company and builds its positive brand
image on individuals mindset.
Customer Service: Ity means direct interact with the customer and the selling
reprersentative(Cagle, Yılmaz and Doğru, 2020). Company just make sure about the sationsation
of the customer and make them happy by providing a better service. It can handle relationship of
company with its exitisting as well as new customers. This can assist the company yo generate
more opportunities related tyo sales and marketing. And the kind attention to problem of person
and keep them satisfiedc is a big paramount for growing a successful business and loyalty can
serve for several years.
Operations: It refers to the production of raw materials that the converted into finished
goods and focuses on quality and quantity by which a company can meet the desire of the
customer.The operation manager is handling the day to day activities of business which can
encompasses ordering the production of company input that schedule workers to produce
tangible assets. This can help business organisation to handle effectively, manage and supervise
all the goods and services that can build up a new growth for organisation.
Distribution: It is a significant function for business activity because it refers to
continuous inflow of money that meet with the outflows. For a company, it is a factor that can
help to engage with the criteria of cost benefit and will increase the advantages of IOM
electronics in terms of achieving higher profit and create a employment opportunity for the
people which can make a growth for any type of random variables.

defines future as well. It creates a positive impact on retention of workers as well as
creativity and inclusion within in the workplace.
Negotiation: This skills is very much required in sales team. Candidate have an ability to
convinced the customer on some certain issue and it will reach the agreement. A good
negotiation skills helps in reducing future conflicts by gave equal satisfaction of both the
parties and build a good relationship that can create a habit to achieve business goals.
Operation
Teamwork: It determine the organisation atmosphere that help in completing the task
more faster and in a effective manner that are allocate in terms of the strengths of each
group member which gives a desired outcomes. The potential of work with others is a
significant quality of a person because this will help achieving the goals rapidly.
Time management: It helps to reduce the procastination on the workplace(Yulianto,
Sudirman and Setiawan, 2021). A n efficient time management can create a positive
implication on the work results as well as in life of person. Those candidate who knows
the value of time then they are high in demand because they can easily prioritize all the
assigned task and meet with the deadlines in a very effective way.

workplace. Due to which an employer enhanced the capability of a candidate. They identified the
strength and working capacity of the person. All components played out a particular assignment
