EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
In this report it has been described about organising a charitable event for raising funds. The
event organised is online sport game competition of cricket and football. Also, it has been
discussed about market analysis and project cost and a budget is prepared in it. In addition to it,
benefit of charity event is that funds are raised from it, awareness is created about free education,
etc. Apart from it, in report it is described about several risks which can occur in event,
mitigation methods as well. Moreover, assumptions and dependencies are explained as well of
charity event. The project approach of waterfall model is used in project is discussed along with
timescale and project plan.

INTRODUCTION AND OVERVIEW
A charity event is organised in order to raise fund for charitable cause. There are various
types of charity event organised from which huge funds are being raised. Thus, it is necessary to
do proper planning and organising of event so that it is completed successful and funds are
raised. Also, it require to estimate cost as well time to event (Araszkiewicz 2017). The event also
consist of various risk which need to identified and minimised.
Overview
Similarly, an event is organised for providing free education to disabled children. In this
online sports games will be played by people and funds is raised from it. The game will include
football and cricket where 100 participants are allowed to play. Here, participants will be retired
football or cricket players or those athletes who also want to take part in this event. In this a
registration process is started. The fee of taking part in event is $100. It will be a 1 month event.
The prize money will be given as donation. Also, sponsors are allowed to give funds as charity
as well.
MARKET ANALYSIS
It has been analysed that in UK there are large number of charities and NGO’s who work for
welfare of disabled people (Gregory 2020). They provide various services to them to fulfil their
needs. Besides that, they are being funded by many companies and people. Also, fundraiser
events are not frequently organised by charity. It has been found that in UK many people play
football and cricket. But they usually play on ground rather than online. Along with it, there are
no charity event which is organised to raise fund like game tournament. The event is organised
but only for competition purpose. Thus, it is required for NGO’s to plan charitable event to help
disabled people. The needs of disabled people are fulfilled but in other ways. S, it requires to
organise such online sports game event to raise fund for disabled children education.
PROJECT COSTS AND BUDGET PLAN
In order to organise online game charity event it requires to have sufficient budget and
resources. This is because it will help in allocating of resources and estimating that what is
overall cost required in it. Along with it, on basis of cost a budget is prepared by which it
becomes it easy to break down cost and use in project (Larsen 2018). Likewise, for organising
of charitable event the overall cost required will be $5000. Hence, its break down is as follows :

Along with project cost and budget there is need of various types of resources in it. The
resources may vary on basis of requirement. As there are different resources required in event
that is HR, tools and equipment’s, computer system, etc. (Merrow and Nandurdikar 2018) thus,
cost of resource and is cost is as follows

ASSESSMENT OF BENEFITS
For taking of project there are certain benefits which is being obtained from it. So due to that
only project is undertaken. Similarly, it can be analysed that there are several benefits of
organising this online sports event. Here, first is that fund will be raised through charity which is
used in educating disabled education (Nicholas and Steyn 2017). Another benefit is event will
generate awareness in public regarding raising of funds to educate disabled children. In this way
more retired athletes can participate in event. There can be more such type of event organised in
future. Thus, for normal people as well event can be organised. The NGO’s can get engaged into
it to raise funds for charity and use it.
KEY RISKS, ASSUMPTIONS AND DEPENDENCIES
In every project there exist various types of risk. So, these risk should be identified so that
proper measures are taken accordingly and risk impact is overcome. Thus, for that a risk
assessment is done by which different types of risk is determined. Also, it enable in analysing

Assumptions
There may occur various assumptions in project. It must be determined so that changes
are made into project plan. It is as follow
 There may come more than 100 participants to get registered to play game.
 The fund raised can be more as expected by charity event.
 It may require more advance computer and server to play online game.
 The participants can also use mobile phones and laptops to hack game and then play.
Dependencies
There are some dependencies as well which can occur in game. These can impact on
overall project of charity event (Rogan and Budgeon 2018). They are specified as

entire event.
 There is need of advance IT expert to handle and manage overall IT infrastructure and
event. So, the expert might request for high salary to do their work.
 The overall budget of event may get exceed due to change in situation. So, there may
require more funds for it which is difficult to acquire.
PROJECT APPROACH
In every project there is a particular approach which is followed. This is because the
approach enable in working in systematic way and attaining of goals. The use of approach
depends on type and nature of project. It is necessary to use approach as it break down project
into different stages. By that it becomes easy to proceed with project. Thus, for present project
waterfall project approach will be used. In this every task needs to be finished before starting
other. This approach is chosen because it is easy and simple to understand and follow. With that
all event activities will be organised in simplified and effective way. Also, there will be proper
break down of all tasks in it (Surampalli, Zhang and Tyagi 2020). Thus, the event can be
organised and finished in less time period.

TIMESCALES, PROJECT PLAN
It is necessary that in project to prepare a time plan so that accordingly it is finished in
specified time period. Besides, project manager accordingly divide activities and identify time to
be given to each of them. Thus, in basis of that project plan is developed which state start and
end date of each activity. So, for present online game charity event the time in which it will be

COMMENTS / ISSUES
In event there can occur several issues as well. This can affect on event to be organised. In
this sponsor funds are not given in charity and is utilised for another purpose. The government
may not give permission to organise such type of event due to risk of hacking (Tonchia 2018).
The hacker can easily hack website and steal confidential data and info of athletes.
CONCLUSION
It can be concluded that for fundraising an online game contest event is organised. In that
there are 100 participants allowed to play cricket and football. The money is donated to charity
for educating disabled children. The overall cost of event is $5000 and time scale is 1 month.
There are various risk which can occur that is failure of event, technical error, hacking, etc.

Along with it, assumptions are more than 100 participants can get registered, fund raised can be
more, require advance computer, etc. and constraints are more than 1 month is needed to finish
event, high salary demand of IT expert, etc. The waterfall project approach is used as it is easy
and simple to understand and follow.
