TASK – 1 Objective The objective behind playing this game is to build a strong pillar of knowledge on the academic integrity and plagiarism and developing good sets of academic skills. Academic integrity is very important in a University as they have to follow some rules and regulations. Ethics is the main factor to be followed (Chauhan, and et.al., 2018). There are many reasons to follow academic integrity in the University. It is useful to avoid having any bad points such as failing in the semester or being suspended. Students are investing in their time and money and as a stepping stone in their way for success in the desired field. It is also important in identifying the sources correctly as it lets an individual mark the work and see the influence behind the incoming ideas. It also defines the path for building new knowledge and giving proper credit to the people who contributed in giving ideas (Gervais, 2018). These type of activities help in testing and developing the knowledge as well as their capabilities. How to play Game design is a process of applying design and building interaction between the students. This game is for play to win the race for building knowledge and integrity. Firstly, the players are divided into four teams having four players in each team. These teams are categories as A, B, C and D. The setting up of the game includes making a wheel which will do the work of spinning. This wheel is made with different section of four colours. The four colours present on this wheel are red, blue, green and orange. This marks the first part of the game and for the next part, some cards are made with the same four colours as in the wheel. Behind these coloured cards are the questions which are related to the academic integrity and plagiarism. In the wheel itself, the points scored for each colour is marked. Each player will get a chance to answer the given questions and the answers of all the questions will be provided at the end.
One player from each team will come forward to spin the wheel. Players cannot be repeated from each team. They will spin the wheel of win and the colour at which the arrow points in the end is the colour question for the that team. On the table there are kept different set of cards with four colours. There are four different questions and four cards for each colour. The player will have to select the cards from the set of the colour which came from the spin the wheel part of the game. The player can select any card from one to four of his choice and will have to answer the question written in that respective card. There will be a time limit for to answer the question. The set of each colour cards has four of which 2 will be MCQs questions and the other two are based on the definitions. The player is supposed to answer the question within the set time limit and if that player answers it correctly, that respective team will earn the point for that colour. Points assigned for each of the colours are, red will give 200 points, green is of 50, blue holds the maximum of 300 and last is the orange for 100. It is mandatory to answer the question. For example, if the player from team B comes forward to spin the wheel and got orange colour which holds 100 points. He then moves towards the card section and picks the 3 card from the orange deck. The question written in the 3 card of orange is definition question which is a definition question asking what is plagiarism and explain different ways of avoiding it. When the players answer correctly, the team will earn 100 points assigned to the orange colour. Moreover, if the player is not successful in answering the question in the set time, the team will lose the opportunity of gaining points for this question as well as will also loose some points as negative marking. The first part of this game is truly based on the luck while the second part is about the knowledge and skills to answer the question correctly. The player will have an option to answer the question or not. If they are choosing not to answer the question, the correct answer will be given in that particular moment and the team will suffer from the loss of negative marking. The game will end when all the cards have been picked out. At the end of the game, the points for each team will be calculated and the team having the highest will be the winner of this game. Rules 1.Each team can send only one player at a time. 2.That same player is only supposed to answer the question. 3.Players cannot be repeated. 4.Questions are not repeated.
