INTRODUCTION
Driverless vehicles are trucks or cars in which an individual drivers are never needed to
take control to risk-free operate the vehicles (Alheeti, Gruebler and McDonald-Maier, 2015).
They combine software and sensors to control, manage, navigate and drive the cars or trucks.
This report is based on different parts which covers future looking of cars, how fast self-driving
technology grows, benefits and costs, and opinion of cities for this evolution.
TASK
PART 1: How cars will look in the future
Vehicles introducing in near future will be more fuel efficient, inbuilting high
technologies along with zero emission which makes easy for driver to get assist in various ways.
These vehicles communicates with each other, even with the road and traffic signals. Apart from
this, future vehicles including Autos and trucks containing enhancement devices that will assist
driver to navigate in bad weather, helping them to see around them, and warn about possible
collision with a pedestrian or animal. They also get help in acquiring knowledge whether they
are getting drowsy or straying from lane (McBride, 2016).
Therefore, in twenty years, future of cars will be extreme different than the automobiles
of current years (What Will Our Cars Be Like In 100 Years. 2019). There are different examples
of cars like in future which are shown as under:

Therefore, above mentioned all these are future of cars. In addition there are different
innovation that will be develop in cars such as Voice commands for your car,Mechanic on
wheels, More map options, Shared autonomous vehicles, Custom-designed vehicles, A doctor in
car, Brain-assisted vehicles and Intelligent dashboards (Moran and Lasser, 2017). These are
major innovations in cars that helps automotive industry in its growth and development. These
innovation will be beneficial for society by saving time, increasing healthy environment etc.
PART 2: How fast driverless technology grows
Road crashes in all over the world, claim nearly about million of lives annually, that
results in both financial and emotional suffering for a society. Today, all segments of society
whether rich or poor are highly affected due to potential threat of road crashes. Therefore, it
increases the demand of sensory technology, that possess the potential of perceiving the
environment better as compared to humans. In this regard, by seeing farther ahead, this would
help in creating better visibility, detecting smaller or more subtle obstacles, that lead to road
crashes. Along with this, installation of hi-tech cameras that have no blind spots, might utilize in
better manner, where human driver fail to do so (Szalay and et. al., 2018). Another main factor
that increases demand of driverless or highly automated vehicles increases is rapidly increasing
global warming emissions, where near about 24 pounds of global-warming gases like Carbon
Dioxide are released from transportation. Therefore, to curtail fuel consumption, innovation in
cars could help in decreasing its percentage as well. Thus, launching the highly automated
vehicles as driverless car which can drive itself, without a need of human being, considerable as
safe side solution. The potential benefits of this innovation, except from road safety and fuel
efficiency, can be measured in terms of reduction in car-theft due to self-awareness.
PART 3: Benefits and Costs
Using autonomous car in future, probably will provide a number of benefits, like increase
in safety, reducing the accidental case that may occur due to careless driving, decreasing traffic
and the most important one is reduced emission of fuels. Because driverless car are completely
run by technology, that helps in reducing emission. As per estimation, roughly 30% of global
warming emission is come out from transportation, that includes a composition of Carbon-di-
oxide and other harmful gases (The Cost of Self-Driving Cars Will Be the Biggest Barrier to
Their Adoption, 2019). Since many innovation regarding fuel efficiencies has been launched yet,
but to execute them, it becomes essential for people how to learn how to drive such cars.

Therefore, for ordinary people that do not possess much knowledge about driving procedures of
electrical cars, used to avoid purchasing it. So, driverless car is considered as the best solution to
resolve it, where connected vehicles will allow cars to make communication with roadside
infrastructure, like road congestion, traffic lights and more. This would help in curtailing fuel
consumption as well as emissions significantly. Less traffic jams would also prove beneficial to
decrease in accidental case, because separate vehicles will them move together as a unit that
result in reducing unnecessary acceleration and brakes. But cost of self-driving cars in future,
will be considered as the biggest factor that create barriers in its adoption. However, shifting
driving from humans to machines, results in minimising the behavioural errors which arise road
accidents. But installation of communication devices, sensors, radars and other highly automated
features in vehicles increased costs of production of same. So, affordability of such life-saving
technology for middle class people raises questions. In this regard, considering only safety
provision for future of mobility is considered as not enough, doing so, demands raises for
making the technology as cost competitive (McBride, 2016).
PART 4: Cities are ready for this revolution
Yes, cities are ready for this evaluation because there are different advantages of
driverless cars such as health benefits, safety environment, our energy security, better for the
environment and many other. These are main reasons of society for excepting implementation of
driverless cars is beneficial. Along with this, cities are also ready for such kind of evolution
because there are different sources, support of government is too high, customers are also ready
for such kind of evolution (Richtel and Dougherty, 2015).
CONCLUSION
From the above given information, it has been concluded as Driverless vehicles is one of
the best option in automotive industry. 3D Printed Car, Flying car and Driverless Car are the
future of cars. As it will beneficial for citizen because these cars are fuel efficient which makes
easy for driver to get support in various ways. Therefore driverless technology grows and assist
human beings by saving their time.
