INTRODUCTION
Portfolio can be comprehensively said to be the summary of experiences as well as
learning derived or encountered by a person during the execution of a particular task or activity
(Suleman, 2018). This provides assistance to an individual in remembering what they learned
while they were at college or any other settings. The following project comprises of a skill
portfolio based on 12 documents along with a summary. It also encompasses discussion over the
contribution of mini project workshops in creation of employability within personnel.
SKILLS PORTFOLIO
While studying in university, there were certain skills that I used and continue to seek to
use in future. These skills are elaborated beneath:-
Employability Skills
Employability skills are defined as those transferable skills that are needed by personnel
for making them employable in a desired field or professional. During my tenure at college, the
projects and case studies done by me posed me to several real life corporate situations and
examples. These situations required me to leverage my employability skills such as critical
thinking, self management, communication skills and problem solving, to arrive at the solutions.
By giving students project which required the effective application of these skills in university,
the college laid down the foundation for me to seek entry into a renowned and large scale
organisation with extensive goodwill at market place.

Reflection
This can be comprehensively said to be the process of thinking analytically for the critical
analysis of an instance to do judgement regarding what has been learnt and encountered
(Suleman, 2018). During the lecture, I got to know that there are many models which are
prominently put to use by practitioners or students for the purpose of reflection. These models
are identified as learning cycle of Kolb, Gibbs’ reflective model, Driscoll’s reflective model, and
John’s model for structured reflection. I was once given a reflective assignment whereby I had to
reflect as a healthcare practitioner upon a particular situation with a patient. The project
acquainted me with the appropriate way of doing reflection. I made use of Gibb’s reflective cycle
in the assignment and got praised by the tutor for effectively carrying out the reflection.
