INTRODUCTION
Game design and development can be defined as the producing of the game which is
based on the technology that uses the advanced aspects of technical concepts such as artificial
intelligence or automation (Jemmali, Bunian, Mambretti and El-Nasr, 2018). Gaming industry is
accelerating day by day due to the interest of the youngsters in playing of the games because of
attractive animation and realistic view (Siriaraya, Visch, Vermeeren and Bas, 2018). The
following discussions are made on the idea generation techniques used by industry practitioners,
factors that contribute to the generation of successful ideas, game ideas and design
considerations, preparing a game design proposal and supporting documentation, creating a
functional game prototype using industry-standard tools, refining a game prototype through
iterative testing and revision, presenting a functional game prototype to a defined audience,
discussing gameplay mechanisms, testing and the development process involved in the
production of a game prototype with proper findings and conclusion.

It is one of the idea generation technique used by industry practitioners that is the
storyboards which means that it is used to depict the storyline before making or developing the
whole product, it demonstrates the sequence of the scenes so that engagement with the people
can be possible and easy.
Brainstorming
It is an another idea generation technique used by industry practitioners that is the
brainstorming which means it is a group formed to share and exchange their own personal ideas
and creativity with each other, this gives each and every person in a group to generate new and
fresh ideas to develop the game (Pramuditya, Noto and Syaefullah, 2018).

physical form or in a digital form to clearly depict the storyline of the game as well as the
characters involved in it.
Sketches and drawings
It is also an another idea generation technique used by industry practitioners that is the
sketches and drawings which means that it is a type to depict on the piece of pen and paper by
sketching and drawing the game methodology with their characters ad costumes. It must be
presentable in nature so that ideas could be generated in a more effective manner to develop the
game.
Concentration
It is one of the idea generation technique used by industry practitioners that is the
concentration which means paying attention to the designing of the game in their own minds
such as by using the cognitive skills. It helps to maintain concentration on the ideas which are
generated to develop the game so that it can build up in a more efficient manner (Engelstein and
Shalev, 2019).
Scamper
It is an another idea generation technique used by industry practitioners that is the
scamper which means substitute, combine, adapt, modify, put to another use, eliminate and
reverse. These are all in one techniques used to decide that what is the best suited as per
situations to handling out the problems.
Factors that contribute to the generation of successful ideas
Connection level
It is one of the factor that contributes to the generations of successful ideas that is the
connection level which means that the ideas must be connected with the audience by not only in
a physical manner but emotionally as well in terms of costumes. Behaviour and many more so
that it is successful enough to deliver the quality content to the customers.

Engagement level
It is also the one of the factor that contributes to the generations of successful ideas that
is the engagement level which means that if method of brainstorming is applied for the ideas then
it is important to engage each and every member in a group to participate in group discussion so
that idea formation can be more easier (Lämsä, Hämäläinen, Aro, Koskimaa and Äyrämö, 2018).
Discussion level
It is also an another factor that contributes to the generations of successful ideas that is
the discussion level which means that discussion level decides that how successful will be the
idea for the game because if the level is low then it can face the failure so that is why it is
required to ensure that level must be at least at moderate point.
Decision making
It is one of the factor that contributes to the generations of successful ideas that is the
decision making which means that if the judgement is going on a wrong path then it is can be
difficult to get an idea to be successful but if ut is going to the right path then it can surely be
successful.
Risk taking
It is an another factor that contributes to the generations of successful ideas that is the
risk taking which means that the level of risk taking will decide the succession of the game idea
because it does not require high risk and not require low risk as well, they require moderate type
of a risk so that it can easily coped up if something wrong happens.

Adventure games
It is also the one of the game ideas and design considerations that is the adventure games
which means that the person is given the mission to carry out and accomplish the task so that
they earn their rewards by winning the game.
Role-playing games
It is also an another game ideas and design considerations that is the role-playing games
which means that a person is assigned a character in which they have to play a role very wisely
and if they miss such chance then there will be the possibility to loose the game.
Simulation games
It is one of the game ideas and design considerations that is the simulation game which
means that pretending the real world to the dramatic world such as realistic vision by the gamer
to play the game.
Strategy games
It is an another game ideas and design considerations that is the strategy games which
means that the games are designed in a strategic way so that gamer can use their brain to solve,
in other words, it makes the use of cognitive skills.
Sports games
It is also the one of the game ideas and design considerations that is the sports games
which means that there are various sports such as cricket, football and many more are played on
the screen virtually (Roungas, Bekius and Meijer, 2019).

Sports game : Racing
Proposed game is the sports game chosen that is the car and bike racing according to the
desire of the customers they can choose car or a bike. It will consist the costumes of the

individual mode; which will depict a customers on a screen. They will be given some power ups,
this will help in winning. There is some additional coins also which is chargeable by the
customers, if they want, they can pay for the same online. This will enhance the gaming zone for
the person who will purchase it (Newton, Leonard, Buss, Wright and Barnes-Johnson, 2020).
Moreover, there will be different brand bikes and cars with different colours and styles in order
to look attractive, there is a speed regulator also to control the speed of the car and bike at the
time of racing. Now the most fun part is that, if a person wins the race then they will receive the
rewards also in terms of virtual coins or additional power ups, and if a person has already paid
cash for something then they can even receive the real cash prizes in their accounts according to
the amount of cash paid by them. Therefore, this is the whole proposal of the game structured
and designed.
Task 3
Create a functional game prototype using industry-standard tools
Steps
Transition From Paper to Software Design
It is the first phase that is the transition from paper to software design which means that
paper prototyping was an initial step but now it is essential to implement that while developing
the real time software design.
Prototype a User Interface
It is the second phase that is the prototype a user interface which means that prototyping
the software is easy and beneficial but user interface prototyping is equally important to execute
for better client services (Chen, Cui and Chu, 2020).
Create a Virtual Prototype
It is the third phase that is the creation of the virtual prototype which means that after
defining the user interface prototyping on the paper, it is necessary to develop it virtually as well
so that better look can be considered.
Add I/O to the Prototype
It is the fourth phase that is the adding input and output to the prototype which means it is
important to give some input or command to the prototype so that they can give some output
accordingly.
