Conversely, breaches of educational integrity
lessen you, the university, and public believe in
instructional endeavours. Academic integrity
permits college students and group of workers
the liberty to construct new ideas, understanding
and creative works whilst respecting and
acknowledging the paintings of others. The
University will reply to instructional misconduct
in a truthful, regular, transparent and well-timed
manner. Employers want to be confident that
scholars who're presented levels have met the
standards and expert requirements for the
program of observe. A diploma is a minimum
requirement of entry into many professions.
Many professions have particular professional
integrity standards, values and codes of
behavior. Acting really, ethically, respectfully
and with duty are a number of the expectations
of employers.
Reflection
In order to produce the respective game and
ensure that the students are able to develop skills
to avoid academic plagiarism as well as
misconduct, there were certain skills that were
used. I had to plan effectively in order to ensure
that the students were able to develop the
strategies of avoiding plagiarism. Apart from
effective planning skills, organizing skills were
also used during the planning process of the
game. Leadership skills as well as effective time
management skills also helped me in making
sure that the overall quality of the game was
effective and that the students would enjoy being
a part of the same. Overall, the experience of
developing and producing the game helped me
in developing new skills such as strengthening
my existing interpersonal skills.
Importance of Academic Integrity
In order to play the game, the students will form
a team of 2 and undertake the task of writing an
article on the topic that will be provided by the
tutor. All the different teams will be expected to
write on the topic provided. The students will be
allowed to refer to the different sources of
information, both primary as well as secondary.
The tutor will teach the concept of plagiarism as
well as academic misconduct. This will help the
students to understand when do they have to
apply the same. Once all the teams are done with
their tasks, they will be asked to exchange and
analyze the work of others. For each paragraph
with no or very little plagiarism, reward points
will be awarded. But in case, the work of any
team shows plagiarism, they will not be able to
gain any reward points. Hence, they will lose on
points and teams that have provided source of
their work, will receive extra points. This game
will help the students to develop an
understanding of the importance of avoiding
plagiarism as well as misconduct in their work.
