terminating from university or suspension. It require student to be aware about how integrity is to
be maintained, how to avoid plagiarism, etc. thus, it shows their honesty towards university.
The report will lay emphasis on design of game for students in context of maintaining
academic integrity. Also, it will discuss why academic integrity is necessary in University and
skills used for design of game.
TASK 1
Game design
Win race of knowledge
Game setting
It will be a board game in which there are 5 columns marked as plagiarism, integrity,
sharing of info, issue and unintentional plagiarism. The board will be displayed on computer to
student. Thus, student can easily see that board on computer screen and play game.

Here, cards is distributed to each team. The member from one team has to select a card from it.
The team who got number card that is 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 will have chance to give answer to
question on board.
This means that if a team get card of number 2 then they can only answer question displayed on
same number on board.
In this if team get face card then it will be not counted and no chance is given to them.

Why academic integrity is necessary in University?
In the view of Bretag (2019), every student is required to follow rules and regulations of
University. The rules state that they need to work in ethical and fair manner to do assignment.
This is because it helps them in their own career and growth. Along with it, showing trust and
remaining honest towards University helps them to become a successful person. The academic
integrity refer to working in ethical way. With this they are able to gain knowledge as well.
Furthermore, this helps student in their daily life. Their creativity increases and they achieve
more career growth in future. It also builds a good reputation of student in real life. They get
more engaged in studies and working in fair way. This is helpful for their career growth as well.
But on contrary Chugh, Luck and Pember (2021), if academic integrity is not followed
then it led to impact on their career in negative way. Student does not work in fair way and
ethical manner. Moreover, due to misconduct they might get suspended or terminate from
college or University. Hence, it impact on their career growth in negative way. The university
might impose huge penalty on them and they might be not able to pay. Thus, their knowledge is
hampered as well as they did not work in fair way. So, due to it their time and money is wasted
and they have to do same work again.
However, as said by Douglas and Watt (2019), plagiarism is also misconduct as there is
copy of text or work from other sources. This shows unethical work being done and in unfair

way. The student is not able to gain proper knowledge and it affect on their career growth in
negative way. Therefore, it is important to avoid plagiarism as well to do work in fair way. There
is required to do referencing in work so that is shows that work in authentic and not copied. It
also comes under academic integrity. So, these play vital role in student career in professional
and personal way.
Skills used in designing of game
It is analysed that for designing of game there are various types of skills which I used.
The skills was useful in effective design of game. This also enabled in taking proper and relevant
decisions as well. Without use of skill it was difficult to design game and do other things. So,
skills are explained as below
Research skills- this skill was used by me as it helped me to do research. I have to found out that
what are several types of games available on internet, how it is played, etc. thus, it gave me an
idea of how I can design game related to plagiarism. Moreover, I formed rules of game as well.
The skill helped me to gain knowledge about game, strategies, questions to be asked, etc.
Critical thinking- I used this skill as I have to think critically that how to make it easy so that
student are able to understand and play game (Khan, Dyer and Sivasubramaniam 2021). It
helped me to improve quality of game and designing it. I also worked in disciplined way to
design game. It also helped me to take critical decision by solving problems in effective way.
Also, I paraphrased question by thinking in critical way.
Problem solving - This skill was highly used by me as I need to solve problem. As I faced a lot
of problem during game design so I was able to solve in effective way. With that it was easy for
me to design game in effective way.
Decision making- I have to take various and effective decisions during designing of game. In
that I was stuck in problem which I have to solve by taking relevant decision. Hence, I took
various decision by which I was able to design game (Levashova and Tishakova 2021).
So, these were skills which I used in design of game. In that I have to take decisions and
solve problem in effective way. Besides I gained a lot of knowledge about game designing, rules,
etc. I can easily communicate and explain game to others. In addition, I can design various other
games as well related to my own subject and what are ways in it.
