INTRODUCTION
Gastronomy may be defined as the study of food and culture by making more focus on the
cuisine. This term not only comprises of cooking techniques and food science but also comprises of
nutritional facts with palatability applications. Gastronomy is basically the one which include the
discovering, researching, experiencing, tasting and understanding about the preparation of that food
which is related to the qualities of the human nutrients (De Jong and et. al., 2018). This following
report is going to discuss about the concept of gastronomy and it’s the history of European
gastronomy to the present day. There are different types of influencer and influences of gastronomy.
This report also discusses about the role of food and drink in the tourism, events and hospitality.
Afterwards, this report covers the interrelationship between the food and drinks in the tourism,
event and hospitality industry. A discussion is also be done about the awareness of interaction
between the food and drink and tourism culture and socialization. In this end this report also
discussed about the significance of drink and food written the local culture.
MAIN BODY
Tourism and events industry along with the hospitality gastronomy is referred as more then the food
industry. This is basically the one which one which not only reflects the heritage traditional culture
but also reflects the community sense of various types of people. This is being considered as the
most effective way which help in bringing closer to different culture people gastronomic. It has
been observed that tourism plays a very significant role in culture heritage which develops different
types of job opportunities with in the rural areas (Rojas-Rivas and et. al., 2020). Along with this, in
the entire experience of tourism gastronomy plays a very vital role. A large portion of the tourist
budget is covers by the gastronomy but some of the tourist does not admit that. But it is true that
gastronomy is being considered as one of the most important elements which improve the
experience in tourism. During their travelling from one place to another each tourist enjoy as well
as experience the delicious foods and drinks. There are different types of tourists which plan their
trip only for enjoying the experience related to the gastronomy. It has been observed that
gastronomy has a high value in tourism, event and hospitality industry which assist in attracting
large base of tourist towards the destination. The business of tourism is highly affected by
gastronomy and this create more and more for this industry. Along with this, it has been seen that
gastronomy become an important strategic sector which not only contribute in the wealth of the
nation bust also contribute in developing the employment opportunities. This result in that, value
has been creating for the whole value chain within producing the quality food.
